The hotel is good, but the food is disappointing

    Moscow, Russia

We vacationed as a family with two children (1 and 4 years old) at the end of April - beginning of May. About the weather. In April, the water in the sea and pools was still cool, you could swim, but it was not comfortable. In May, when the air temperature became about +35, it became good both in the sea and in the pools. Beaches. The hotel has two beaches, one behind the breakwater, and it’s always calm there, with jellyfish often swimming in (which lifeguards retrieve when they wash ashore). The second is in the open sea, and depending on the wind there are waves there. There is good sand everywhere, which is pleasant for children to play on. It seems that small garbage is not cleaned up on the beach, as cigarette butts from vacationers are found in large quantities. Despite the ban on smoking outside designated areas, no one chases them away. A significant drawback of the beach (and pools too) is the lack of umbrellas. While sunbeds were almost always free, umbrellas were always in short supply. The system for issuing and returning beach towels seemed extremely inconvenient. Towels can be obtained at two points of issue using cards, and the fact of their receipt must be recorded against signature on a special sheet. This creates inconvenience when handing it in, since you need to hand it in exactly where you received it, and then also find your entry in a stack of sheets, which is why there is always a queue for delivery. The hotel area is large and well-groomed. Palm trees and shrubs provide the necessary shade in places. Significant advantages of the hotel include the presence of a swimming pool with sea water , around which most vacationers gather. In the evenings, spending time in the fresh air is marred by an abundance of mosquitoes. Despite regular poisoning by the hotel staff, both we and the children were pretty much bitten. Mosquitoes also fly into the rooms and the restaurant, which faces the street. Standard hotel rooms are relatively spacious, the furniture is good (we had enough space to put all our things), modern TV (with the ability to connect to a smartphone and tablets). Bright lighting, which is undoubtedly a plus, since hotel rooms often have extremely dim lighting. The disadvantages include the taps above the sink, when used, the water scattered in different directions, causing puddles to form, the extremely unfortunate placement of the toilet 10 cm from the side wall, which makes it not comfortable to sit, as well as the “designer” passage to the bathtub, o the protruding parts of which can be hit quite well, for example, when lifting children after bathing in the bath. Room cleaning, in our case, was excellent. Our cleaner was always extremely friendly and attentive to us and our daily routine. Staff. In general, I can only say good things about the staff, they are always friendly and ready to help. We are extremely grateful for the help of the concierge, who organized for us the order and delivery of medications from the pharmacy to our room when the insurance doctor prescribed them to us. Nutrition. During our stay, the hotel was completely full almost all the time and in order to get into the restaurant we always had to stand in a long line at the entrance. Some people waited in line for more than half an hour, and we personally witnessed scandals about this twice. It was possible to enter without a queue only in the first 15 minutes after the restaurant opened. Sometimes the staff (in the person of a particular lady) artificially created queues at the entrance (they didn’t have time to seat people). The food and its variety were below our expectations. If there are no special complaints about breakfast, then for lunch and dinner you may not find food to your liking. The choice of dishes is average, there are many spicy dishes (which are not even specially marked), it is a problem to feed small children. They didn’t offer pureed food (even on the “children’s” table for dinner), and I’m generally silent about canned food for children. If you can find non-spicy food for your child, then in order to grind it, you need to contact the staff for help. But the problem of feeding children could be simply solved by ensuring that mashed potatoes are always available. There is a “children’s” table only for dinner, and it is nominally for children. Usually there is pasta and two sauces for it (and of such a size that they do not fit into the mouth of a 4-year-old child), a rice dish, and soup (broth). Ice cream for dinner is represented by only one type, and even then not every day. Fruits, almost always watermelon, two types of melon (not sweet), less often pineapples, apples, tangerines and pears, even less often bananas, and that’s all! Internet. It catches in rooms, restaurants, and sometimes even on the beach. There's no catch in the kids' club! The speed is enough to watch YouTube. The coverage is not continuous, and for example in the corridors the connection is broken. Every two days it requires re-authorization, which creates inconvenience. And a couple of recommendations for the hotel administration. The lobby (in the elevator hall) constantly smells of smoke, the smell of which comes from a nearby bar. You immediately want to run away from there. A pianist who plays in the evenings clearly does not have time for additional piano training. She often misses the notes, and her playing is not exciting and does not evoke positive emotions, despite the fact that she plays quite well-known works. Children's club. Yes, not big. Works. But somehow he didn’t come to our children in this particular hotel. Final conclusion. We liked the hotel itself as a whole and the service (it’s still a Hilton), we were satisfied with our vacation, but due to the food and the problem with umbrellas on the beach, we do not plan to return to this hotel. For that kind of money in other countries (which also do not charge a tourist tax) you can find a more interesting offer in terms of price/quality ratio.

The hotel has changed for the worse

We were here 3 years ago, now we regretted coming back. We took the All food, before it was a high-quality buffet, a lot of everything, delicious. Now there is monotony in everything, a constant lack of dishes, food, a meager selection of fruits (2 types of melons, apples, pears, watermelon). If something runs out, you may not wait for it to be replenished at all. You can wait an hour for a watermelon. Lightly salted salmon for any meal is an unattainable dream. There is a line first to enter the restaurant, then for food. Yes, and food - rice, pasta, zucchini with steamed broccoli, lettuce and 2 types of meat (one grilled, the other somehow stewed), sometimes fish. The sweet table is just tears. There are not enough towels on the beach. After 11 am they are simply gone. Neither change nor receive. There are also not enough sun loungers in the shade. The main pool smells funny and the bottom is slippery with sediment. It feels like the hotel is slowly dying. There are no complaints only about the cleaning of the rooms, the guys do a great job. Although, again, there is no evening cleaning, traditional for Emirati 5*, as well as pens and paper in the room

I'm unlikely to come again and don't recommend it to tourists. Shame and shame.

    Moscow, Russia

We are currently staying in this hotel. Everything here could not be bad, because the hotel has everything for this. But, apparently, there is a lack of normal management and management decisions. There are no sunbeds, the bathtub in the villa doesn’t work, only a shower, people don’t have enough sunbeds and they wander along the sea in search. But these are all small things compared to the nightmare that is happening with food. As an experienced traveler, I have never seen this anywhere (this is the first time I’m so outraged that I’m writing a review). We are vacationing with our daughter and nanny, we took a villa and an all package, because the child and the nanny do not speak English. And it's just a shame and horror. To get to the aphid dinner, you have to stand in a long line, then the quest begins - find a plate and food... inside the restaurant there are again lines for one type of meat or fish... sometimes you don’t even get that. I manage to snatch a watermelon one out of three times. The choice of food is about the same as in a 3-star hotel in Turkey, if there ever were one (I was there in my distant youth). It's just shame, disgrace and horror. However, the staff does not try to solve these problems, for example, increase lunch times, the number of staff, or ultimately feed the villas in the same place as breakfast, which would be the most logical. In the photo there is a queue to the restaurant. The downside is that there are still a lot of mosquitoes and they are not poisoned, we are all bitten

Old hotel absolutely not worthy of 5 stars

Room: we chose a family room with a sea view of 60 sq.m. In the room there is a sofa with a crooked mattress and it creaks so much that you wake up with every movement. There was water in the toilet tank every other day. The water turned off in the shower twice. The lawn is watered with sewage, the stench is such that it hurts the eyes. After a week of rest, the air conditioner turns on on its own at night, we asked for help 3 times, the problem was never solved. To the raging guests: in the hallway there is a heavy mirror, behind it there is an electrical panel, the R5 automatic switches off the air conditioning. In the bathroom, the shower leaks at the base, the handle creaks, and so does the door. On the plus side: they clean well, there are practically no insects such as ants and wasps, but in the evening there are a lot of mosquitoes. Sea: our “villa” was in the middle of the beach, there are waves and throws up grass, but this is not a problem, you can move 50 m to the other side and everything will be fine. Stingrays sometimes appear in the sea!! They are poisonous, if stung by their tail you need to go to the hospital, so it is better to swim in special slippers. Food: seafood is available only on Saturdays, the rest of the food is generously sprinkled with oriental spices...it’s not for everyone...so it’s better to take it at breakfasts, and eat in the city, taxis and restaurants are very cheap, the food in restaurants is delicious.

Travel to United United Arab Emirates was the first, so we were excited to get to know this country. The luxury Emirates Airlines jet delivered to Dubai in 4.5 hours. And the adventure began. We got lost at the airport. We joined the flow of connecting flights. By the way, we even managed to pass registration and inspection. Thank God, there were 2 other families like us, so we stuck together and received our luggage about 30 minutes late. There was one plus: we went through customs control without queues. A crossover was waiting for us from the hotel, which took us to the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. Since we arrived early (around 09.00 local time), we had to wait for check-in. We were languishing in the heat, from which there was no escape. I didn’t want to go to the beach right away, because I had to get myself intoorder and change clothes. You won’t be unpacking your suitcases in the middle of the reception area... The voucher included checking into a villa in a room on the 1st floor. Check-in started at 15.00, but we were given a room (for which we are very grateful to the reception staff) at 12.00. Apparently, oriental hospitality and our exhausted appearance (you can’t really sleep on a plane due to a number of reasons, including a noisy company and an abundance of small children in the neighborhood) coincided so much that we were given a room in a villa with a view not of the pool, but of the Persian Gulf. I haven’t seen such beautiful sunsets for a long time! Large room , daily cleaning, comfortable beds and automatic air conditioning that maintains a comfortable temperature in the room for us are beyond praise. In our hotel, the maids are mostly men. We left a small tip for ours, so every evening after the beach we had entire zoos on our bed, created from towels: either a dog, or an elephant with a baby elephant, or elephants with their trunks connected into a heart... In general, we are not greedy with tips, that’s why We consider the service towards us to be gratitude for the attention to the hotel staff. Electric cars were always at our service, although we preferred to walk more. Very polite and attentive staff! I believe that their work deserves attention from vacationers. On the balcony area of the first floor there were two armchairs, a table and a Lounge (a soft bed with an abundance of cushions). In the heat of the day it was very pleasant to relax in the shade. Individual sunbeds with unlimited change of towels. An incredible beach with small crabs and a gorgeous, clean and very warm sea (the water warmed up so much during the day that it didn’t feel cool). There were no high waves, but there was only one inconvenience: one day, dead jellyfish washed ashore en masse throughout the day. True, they were removed immediately, but I didn’t really want to swim. We spent the whole day in the adult pool, which is more than 1.5 meters deep. I was pleased that the hotel had swimming pools for children and adults. It's very comfortable. We stayed for 7 nights on an all-inclusive basis. Here it is of two types: with free A la Carte restaurants (gold bracelets) and with paid ones (silver bracelets). We had a silver membership, which included discounts on A la Carte restaurants, unlimited water and a limited selection of alcoholic drinks, including cocktails. Breakfast for those living in villas is at the Al Maeda restaurant. There are practically no fundamental differences in terms of assortment from the main Maarid restaurant. And if you don’t sleep until 10 am, then there are no queues. I was a little taken aback on the first day by the presence of a queue at the main restaurant. As tables become available, so does the queue. The very smart and efficient staff tries to make eating comfortable. We are still delighted with the amazing taste of meat dishes (especially lamb) and fish. The selection of fruits and vegetables was somewhat limited. We recommend Pura Vida Restaurant for all meat lovers. Say what you will, but the rack of lamb was one of the best we've tried. I’ll share a pleasant memory of evening hookahs on the open balcony, where those who liked to smoke a cigarette, drink a cocktail and play dice (mostly Germans and Americans) hung out. But not every bartender knew how to prepare them. The best of the best is Mosharaf: his hookahs were excellent, apparently prepared with soul. Mosharaf, thank you very much for your attention to our married couple. We only took one excursion. Dubai is certainly magnificent with its buildings and technology. And a little about sad things. Disgusting hotel guide Mila. A girl without interest or interest. We asked for recommendations on excursion programs to get acquainted with the culture and characteristics of the Emirates. The answer they received was “Well, you can go to Dubai. Or Abu Dhabi. You still won’t see anything special. Well, they will tell you about history, education and culture. Well, I don’t even know what to advise.” Al Khalidiah Tourism, please pay attention to your hotel guides. Of course, we didn’t see an oriental fairy tale. And there was a reason for that - Ramadan. Overall, the holiday was wonderful.
