Marbella is a resort city located in the south of Spain, on the Costa del Sol.

Just 100 years ago, Marbella was one of the many fishing villages along the coast. The city became a resort thanks to rich farmers who, after World War II, invited friends from the aristocratic circles of Europe to relax here. At the end of the 1950s, many foreigners lived here, including immigrants from the former USSR. In the 1990s, the city's reputation was marred by corruption scandals involving the mayor and wealthy foreigners hiding from the law here.

However, today Marbella is the most modern and fashionable resort in Spain, which is visited by world stars, famous politicians and Arab sheikhs.

Marbella is a resort on the Costa del Sol. Pristine beaches, aristocratic villas, marble embankment, Dali sculptures in the open air
Marbella is a resort located 60 km from Malaga, considered the pearl of the Costa del Sol. This is the most luxurious and fashionable resort not only in Spain, but throughout Europe, which amazes with the beauty of its gardens and parks. Along the entire embankment stretch sandy beaches of extraordinary beauty, surrounded by palm trees on the city side, and above them rise the majestic peaks of the Sierra Blanca, which are visible from any part of the city. It is in Marbella that the most prestigious hotels in Spain are located, and the “Golden Mile” of private estates belonging to members of royal families and world celebrities stretches along the coast to neighboring Estepona.
Marbella, like many resort towns in Spain, is divided into two parts: the old town and the modern city. However, the architecture of modern buildings in Marbella did not at all disrupt, but even harmoniously complemented the ensemble of the ancient part of the city. The majestic Royal and Thieves towers, which have undergone partial reconstruction, but are generally well preserved, remind us of the long-standing rule of the Moors. In the Old Town there are many narrow streets connecting small open spaces - "plazas", of which we recommend visiting the most famous, "Orange", with a fountain (17th century), and in the evening - stroll along the streets "El barrio" and "La Alameda" . The seven-kilometer city embankment is paved with marble slabs - they are washed every day with a special shampoo, and in the very center of the resort, on Avenida de Mar, original sculptures by Salvador Dali are installed.
Marbella in Spain remains popular due to its favorable climate and developed tourism infrastructure. Therefore, the city of Marbella is visited almost throughout the year. It is here that you can find the most beautiful combination of mountains and sea, visible from anywhere in the city.
In this wonderful city you can visit the botanical garden, stroll along Marine Avenue (Avenida Del Mar), which connects the old city and the beach area. Here, along the street there are fountains and a collection of sculptures by Salvador Dali. Overall, the city has a rich history and the architecture is proof of this. But it will also be interesting to visit the area called the Golden Mile, where the most luxurious residences in Marbella are located.
The region that attracts tourists most is Nueva Andalucia. Here you can see the remains of a Roman city. In general, it should be noted that the archaeological heritage is important here, as well as museums, of which there are a sufficient number.
Life in a coastal town never stops. Various festivals are held here every year, such as the Jazz Festival, the Independent Theater Festival, the Marbella International Film Festival and others. One of the most interesting holidays in Marbella is the feast of the city's patron saint, Saint Bernabe, which lasts for a week.
When it comes to beaches, there is no better place on the entire coast. The Marbella resort has about 24 different beaches. The soft sand under your feet will make any vacationer forget about time. Clean beaches, blue Marbella on the map of Spain, bright sun. All this is Marbella, which means Beautiful Sea.” Marbella on the map is one of the most beautiful resorts in the country.
