The municipality of Sa Riera, along with neighboring Aiguablava, is perhaps one of the most famous beaches and bays of the Costa Brava. It is located a short drive from Bagur, a town well worth a visit for anyone wanting to explore the region. This place is ideal for a family holiday. The landscapes of Aiguablava, which means "blue water", look like real postcards. The remaining beaches of Bagur - Sa Tuna, Aiguafreda and Playa Fonda - also deserve the attention of tourists.
2. Portichol Beach (La Escala)
A distinctive feature of the Portichol area is the proximity of the ancient Greek port of Emporion, the archaeological complex on the site of which is located near the beach. This section of the coast has a slope for people with disabilities. There are many hotels and restaurants in the surrounding area. From Portichol you can get to Las Dunas Avenue, which runs along the sea between La Escala and the medieval settlement of Sant Martí de Empurias. Its length is 2.5 km. While walking or cycling along it, tourists can enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the beaches and archaeological sites.
3. Sant Pere Pescador Beach
Between Sant Martí de Empurias and the village of Roses lies one of the largest sandy beaches on the Costa Brava. Its length is about 40 km. The beach area is large enough to accommodate people at a comfortable distance from other vacationers. The wind that blows here in the summer attracts kitesurfers to the beach. In the central part of the beach is the Aiguamolls Natural Park.
4. Cadaqués Beach
The beaches of the region of the same name are not very conducive to a relaxing holiday in the sun - they are all rocky. However, their main attraction is the city itself, one of the most charming settlements on the Girona coast. Salvador Dali himself fell in love with local landscapes. Here you can drink an aperitif on one of the local summer terraces and still take a swim on one of the local beaches.

Some prefer beaches with fine sand where they can take a nap, while others are willing to sacrifice comfort to enjoy the crystal clear waters of rocky coastlines. Taballera Bay is ideal for the latter. You can also go snorkeling here.
6. Montjoi Bay (Roses)
In the vicinity of this bay there was once the famous Spanish restaurant El Bulli, considered the best in the world. Now here you can relax on the gray sand beach, which is part of the Cap de Creus Natural Park. The water on this part of the coast is calm, the wind blows moderately, and the weather is usually not too sunny.
7. La Boadella (Lloret de Mar)
Lloret combines the best and worst of the Costa Brava: magnificent nature and a huge number of tourists. The city is desperately trying to shed its title as the capital of alcohol tourism. However, European youth vacationing here are usually quite lazy, and for this reason they ignore more remote beaches. One of them, La Boadella, located between Lloret de Mar and Blanes, can be a good place for a relaxing holiday. Nudists rest on one of its outskirts.
8. Estreta Bay (Palamos)
To reach Estreta Bay, a cozy stretch of coastline with coarse sand and rocky bottom, as well as other neighboring bays, it is necessary to overcome a mountain route on foot, which was previously used by smugglers and sailors.
9. Senor Ramon Beach (Santa Cristina d'Aro)
This small bay is also known as Curculada. Here you can enjoy swimming in perhaps the clearest water on the entire Girona coast. It is accessed via the motorway.
10. Es Castell Beach (Palamos)
Es Castell is distinguished not only by its beauty, but also by its historical heritage. This beach is a living illustration of what the Costa Brava could have looked like if tourism had not begun to develop there. In a referendum in 1994, local residents voted against the construction of a golf course. Thus, they saved one of the most beautiful corners of the coast. Near the beach are the ruins of an Iberian settlement.
Costa Smeralda (lit. “Emerald Coast”) is a magical combination of sea, sun and good mood. The resort is located on the north-eastern coast of Sardinia, between the bays of Arzachena and Cugnana. How to get there
The beach can be reached from Porto Cervo by heading south on Highway 59 (Strada Provinciale 59) to Golfo del Pero. After parking your car in the parking lot, walk about thirty meters.
Grande Pevero beach

Grande Pevero beach, located in the town of the same name, forms a real crescent of snow-white, tiny sand washed by the azure sea. In some parts of the coast, steep cliffs rise from the sand, and low thickets of Mediterranean maquis (mainly juniper) frame the beach. In the farthest part of the beach from the sea there is the Patima pond, behind which there are golf courses that attract numerous fans of this sport to this corner.

The beach can be reached from Porto Cervo along the SP 59 highway.
Cala Sabina Bay

The picturesque seaside is covered with light, fine-grained sand of a grayish tint, alternating with pebbles and rocks protruding here and there. The beach is framed by dense thickets of dwarf juniper, in the cool shade of which you can hide on particularly hot summer days. The beach offers views of a landscape of extraordinary beauty. Complementing this breathtaking picture is the ubiquitous Mediterranean maquis, with its rich palette of yellows and pinks.
How to get there
The beach can be reached by sea or by train from Olbia to Golfo Aranci. The train stops at a small train station near the beach from June 14 to September 14. The beach can also be reached via a one-kilometre hiking trail that connects it to Highway 82 (Strada Provinciale 82).
Capriccioli Beach

Capriccioli Beach, whose name means “little goats” in Galluran dialect, is located in the municipality of Arzachena. Its coastline is covered with fine-grained, light-colored sand with a grayish tint, alternating with jutting massive granite rocks. A small bay, divided into two parts by huge granite boulders, is surrounded by lush Mediterranean vegetation, full of cistus flowers, evergreen pines, mastic and olive trees. Opposite the bay is the island of Mortorio - a picturesque natural oasis with rich vegetation, in some places covered with rocks of extraordinary shape and beauty. The island can be reached from the bay by small pleasure boats.
This picturesque landscape is complemented by a panoramic view of the islands of Soffi (isola Soffi) and Camere (isola delle Camere).
This beach has a shallow sandy bottom, making it great for families with children.
How to get there
From Olbia, take SS 125 towards Palau. At the 7.2 kilometer mark, turn right onto Highway 73 (SP 73) towards the Emerald Coast (Costa Smeralda). Continue for 7.6 kilometers until you reach the San Pantaleo junction, then turn right onto SP 94. After driving 8 kilometers, at the fork turn towards the bay of Cala Volpe and Capriccioli.
Rena Bianca beach
Rena Bianca beach (lit. “White sand”) is located in the town of Portisco and geographically belongs to Olbia. It is covered with light soft sand. The beach, near which there are several dunes, offers a beautiful landscape - the light sand contrasts effectively with the pink rocks, lush greenery surrounding the beach, and the turquoise transparent sea.

Cala Martinella is a small beach near Porto Rafael in Palau. Its turquoise sea contrasts with the vibrant green of the surrounding Mediterranean vegetation. The sand here is white and fine. The small bay is bordered by noble granite rocks.
How to get there
You can get here by taking Highway 33 bis, turning left before reaching Palau. The beach is close to the more famous Porto Rafael beach.
Bay of Saline
The beach is located in the village of Capo di Orso (lit. “Cape of the Bear”), which is part of the commune of Palau. The wide coastline is covered with medium-sized cream-colored sand, alternating in places with stones, and is framed by dense thickets of evergreen maquis, giving the landscape a typical Mediterranean flavor. On the northern side, the beach is protected by the Capo di Orso promontory, and on the other side, a passing road separates the coast from the pond of the same name.

The tip of the cape resembles a bear in outline. The natural sculpture was created due to wind erosion. The figure of the bear is quite realistic: it is overgrown with legends passed down from generation to generation, according to which the Laestrygonians lived here - the fierce shepherds whom Odysseus encountered at one of the stages of his wanderings.

Photo: Palamos Palamos is an ancient town founded more than 1.5 thousand years BC. e., for a long time it was a simple craft (trade in cork oak bark) and fishing village. Now it is a resort with hotels for every taste - from designer apartments to modest hostels. The beaches of Palamos are covered with good sand and there are picturesque rocky coves. The city is rich not only in pine trees, but also in special cork oak, from which wine corks are made.

Unusual entertainment awaits you in Palamós. The city is an important fishing port and when the ships loaded with fish return to shore (after lunch), an exciting fish auction begins.

The Second Marimurtra (Jardín Botánico Marimurtra, 1921) is a picturesque 4-hectare garden with Mediterranean, subtropical and temperate zones. It's nice to walk along its paths and cascades, admiring the rocks and listening to the surf.
In the grottoes of the coast there are a lot of jellyfish and wonderful fish - be sure to take fins and a mask with you.
