For the first 10 days of stay in Goa, we chose an inexpensive hotel, the main thing is that it is quiet and the reviews are good. Sea view resort did not appear at first - a reddish primer leads to it, there is almost no territory, the building itself stands facing the sea and is all hidden in the shade of palm trees and greenery. There is construction going on next to the restaurant and rooms. Compared to neighboring hotels, it does not look very good. We were lucky, we got the best number 101, a construction site right under the window, but it did not annoy much. The room is incredibly spacious with a huge bed once covered by a canopy, a tiny balcony and an old wooden closet with a lock instead of a safe. They forgot to put soap and toilet paper, but they quickly reported it, and you should not count on shampoos here. There are mosquitoes in Goa, they didn’t bother us much, but we need a fumigator. On theat first glance, it is a complete idyll: the ocean is visible from the windows through the palm crowns, and the sound of the surf is heard day and night, the hotel stands right on the shore. But there is also a fly in the ointment - there is no beach of its own, because the hotel is built on a lava reef, which is regularly flooded by the tides. To the right of the hotel there is a shallow lagoon, at low tide the water goes hundreds of meters. On the left, the beach is a little better, but at low tide you have to hobble over sharp reef stones to it, and at high tide you can’t get through at all - walking on a flooded reef is extremely dangerous. The hotel restaurant is located on the terrace right above the reef, the prices are a little high, the food is not very good, but sitting in the evening with a bottle of beer, listening to the sound of the surf and the rustle of palm trees, is very soulful. In the restaurant, the chief is a great guy Semi, sometimes I gave him a tip, as a result, he was provided with his location. The sand on the nearest beaches is a little black and fine, like powder, the entry into the water is gentle - great for children, not so much for adults. In the first days it was stormy, because the water was very muddy. There were days when, because of the waves, my wife didn’t swim at all, but at least I didn’t! The first evening we were shocked by an incredible tide: in a few hours, the water, which until recently splashed far from us, came close to the restaurant and the waves began to violently beat on the base of the veranda. Not only we were surprised, but also the natives. Just at this time, a typhoon raged in Kerala and its echoes reached us in the form of strong excitement, and a couple of small rains. And the indifference of the Indians is also shocking: a wooden ladder leads from the restaurant veranda to the reef, two steps broke and they were repaired for almost a week. I was one of the first to try the novelty, and, wow, both new steps broke under my weight - it’s good that I didn’t hurt myself! Breakfasts were at the hotel, and, by Indian standards, very good. Lunch and dinner went next door on the right to the Golden Goa restaurant, I recommend it. Ashvem is a rather boring place, but we liked it when we were bored, we took long walks along the beach to Arambol or south.…

The pool downstairs was closed for renovation but that didn't bother us at all. Upstairs is a beautiful swimming pool with a slide and stunning sea views. The room is not comfortable and the furniture is all old. The towels are grey. The dishes are not washed in the room - I washed it myself. In general, very stoic. The mini bar is almost empty - you might think about it. Regarding breakfast - not a fountain. Everything is standard: omelettes, fruits, sausages, tea and coffee with pastries. Not much variety for vegans. 2 years ago it was more soulful in this hotel. When cleaning the rooms, they carefully laid out all our belongings, folded bathrobes and removed excess wet towels. We will not go to this hotel again.

In our room, the air conditioner and the socket turned out to be faulty , part of the furniture was missing, the dilapidated duvet cover was washed to small holes.As a result, after repeated calls and attempts to fix and fix - half the next day, the staff and I were looking for walking and a free room in the building and moved - they found and no longer paid attention to the loudly buzzing old refrigerator and the broken cabinet door (. The pool downstairs is closed for renovations until October due to noisy construction work. The two oldest buildings next to this pool are therefore impossible to live in. The upper building, where breakfasts and the most decent new rooms, have difficult access due to a broken trolley and fuming cars. Our building next to the ocean was the only convenient option, but the rooms ....... And by the way, another amazing circumstance - the beach located under the windows of our building - does not belong to the hotel, but belongs to the neighboring three-star ((and bungalow cabins under the windows Conclusion: the place is good, but the management and management decisions are inadequate, strange and illogical, the staff is nice - but we didn’t understand and didn’t see that someone really manages it, there are a lot of staff - but everyone is a little lost and disorganized.

The hotel is at the end of Ca Bay Beach, away from everyone. Sea View Resort not only met all expectations, it exceeded them. The photos that were full of the Internet and the official website of the hotel cannot be compared with what appeared before us. Even the driver of our minibus, who took us, the last tourists to the hotel, said that this hotel has one of the best sea views on the entire beach.
At the reception, we were warmly greeted by the already familiar “Sawadi-kaa”, they quickly and imperceptibly processed documents while we were looking at the hotel lobby, figurines of elephants made of flowers (by the way, elephants in various manifestations were found everywhere, after all, the symbol of the island), a fruit tree, which grew right in the hall ...
The hotel itself stands on a natural hill, which, decorated with all kinds of conceivable and unthinkable flowers and plants, smoothly descends to the sea. The hotel consists of a main building with standard rooms and deluxe rooms, a series of superior cottages located above all buildings, a little lower, a series of deluxe cottages and right by the sea the most expensive superior spa, deluxe spa and suite spa, standing close to the spa- the center of the hotel, which is considered one of the best on Koh Chang. All types of massages as well as various spa treatments are offered at this centre. We tried only floral-bath (a hot tub with essential oils and flowers), for a thirty-minute bliss we paid 1000 baht for two. But in general, massage is expensive here, for much less money you can find the same thing in the village, though with a smaller entourage, glamor and chic.
There are electric cars all over the hotel. On one of them we were brought to our cottage. The deluxe cottage was all immersed in greenery, pomelo and other fruits grew at arm's length from it, had its own terrace with stunning views of the sea and the islands, a view that made me want to live on this beach, in this hotel . In front of each cottage there was a vat of water, again strewn with orchid petals, so that we washed the sand off our feet after the beach. The cottage had everything and even more than you need: a hairdryer, slippers, bathrobes, TV, a free safe in the closet, a flower-decorated bathroom, even a kettle and coffee-tea bags. On the bed are the usual swans made of towels, decorated with flowers, and below the sound of the sea .... We are in paradise!!!
The territory of the hotel is small, but very well-groomed and beautiful. Downstairs, right on the beach, there is a bizarrely shaped pool, a bunch of free sunbeds and umbrellas, hanging swings and hammocks, kayak rentals, and the beach itself, immersed in greenery, and the sea. The cleanest sand, the cleanest sea, in a word, Bounty))). I won’t say that the sand was snow-white, no, it was rather golden and very packed, at first I could not understand why. But in the morning it became clear ... When we came to the sea the next day, we found it much closer than it was yesterday, almost by the pool. Ebb and flow on Chang is a normal phenomenon, the sea once went very far, so much so that on foot it was possible to walk almost to the islands opposite, if not for the corals, we would have done it. However, you need to be careful, the tide is very fast, the water comes literally before your eyes.
A few words about breakfasts... I think it's already clear that they are excellent. Our breakfasts in Pattaya cannot be compared.. For breakfast, you could taste the first, second, third, and dessert. Rice noodle soups with any filling, salads, European snacks, an omelet that is cooked right in front of you, Thai dishes, pastries, fruits, even waffles were baked. Service at the hotel is excellent, from cleaning to service on the beach. Any ordered dish will be brought (driven by an electric car) to you directly to the beach, they can be brought directly into the sea, while the dish is carefully wrapped in a film so that the sand does not get into it.
For lovers of vibrant nightlife on Koh Chang, and even more so on Ka Bay, and even more so in the Sea View Resort, it will probably be boring. Of all the entertainment of the hotel - live music in the evenings. On Ka Bay Beach, in the nearby Porn’s Bungalow, a restaurant right on the beach shows a fire show (a fire show to music with acrobatic actions), which is enough to watch at one time. We, though young, but we have enough fuss and stormy evenings in Moscow, according to our tradition, we loved to sit on the beach, eat shrimp and squid, bought for cheap in the village, or do the same but on our terrace to the sound of live music and the sound of either the tide, or the ebb of the sea ...

Entertainment in the hotel.

Renting a kayak is an entertainment for the whole day, because, firstly, it is interesting to ride a boat and even paddle, and secondly, you can swim to the opposite island (Ko Man Nai) in a kayak and explore it, as well as mangroves, which grow there, thirdly, the island has a small sandy beach, completely empty and deserted, where you can spend the whole day, and fourthly, you can snorkel around Koh Man Nai and not go anywhere, because there are a lot of fish and corals here. All the pleasure cost 50-60 baht per hour per boat. For those who wish to Koh Man Nai, you can swim and swim.
The kayak was rented, the camera was tightly wrapped in three bags, in case our watercraft capsized, and we hit the road. To be honest, it is quite difficult to control this device, besides, the kayak is not very stable, even once we turned over, fortunately near the shore.

Here, 5 meters from the shore, corals already begin, and it was possible to swim with a mask. The underwater world for me, who had not been to Egypt, was very rich and colorful. True, knowledgeable people said that nothing compares to the Red Sea. However, there were a lot of interesting things for me, since I first saw what corals are. There were a lot of small fish, some kind of cucumbers lying on the bottom and as if breathing, at first I thought they were snakes, but then I calmed down, like such algae, and there were also a lot of hedgehogs, the needles of which stuck out of the corals.
Here, right next to the beach, mangroves began. Such plants that grow in the coastal zone in salt water are unique in that they process salt water into fresh water, and their salt crystallizes on the back of the leaves. We decided to sail around the island. On the other side, opposite from Chang, the coast is very rocky, in addition, the proximity of the open sea is felt, the waves are very strong. We managed to "park" in a small cove and drag the kayak ashore. Here was the realm of crabs, which, clattering with their legs, fled into the loose. The underwater world in this place was beautiful not with corals, but with stone grottoes and schools of fish, of which there were quite a lot. Everywhere under water there was a crunch and champing, fish eat corals.
Our friends decided to sail on to the next island. In total, four of them are visible from the coast of Chang: Koh Yuak, Koh Pli, Koh Man Nok and Koh Man Nai, and it seems that they are quite close to Chang. However, from the shore of Koh Man Noi it became clear that the distance was decent. We also decided to try our hand, but having sailed about fifteen meters from Koh Man Noi, I got scared, because. the waves got even stronger, the water even darker, and the kayak rocked so hard that we turned back. The guys swam to the island and later told what big fish they saw, and even a small stingray at the bottom.
