Athena Pallas Village is a hotel in Sithonia, very suitable for car travelers.
Hi all! As promised in, I begin my stories about a trip to Greece. Today it will be a review of the Athena Pallas Village, or Athena Pallas, it's easier.
Looking ahead, I’ll say, despite some shortcomings, I’ll write about them below, we really liked the hotel and if we went to this part of Greece again, it would be Athena Pallas again!
Why Sithonia?
The peninsula of Chalkidiki is the mainland, which ends with three fingers-peninsulas - Kassandra, Sithonia and Athos.
Sithonia is the middle and greenest finger of the Chalkidiki peninsula. This is what played a decisive role in choosing a place. Because, after green Croatia with pine trees on the beaches, as in Brela, I was afraid that in Greece I would lack greenery and, accordingly, shade.
Compared to densely populated Kassandra with huge amount hotels, there are much fewer hotels in Sithonia and, they say, the construction of new hotels is prohibited.
Having later traveled all over Sithonia by car, we found out that there are, in fact, not so few hotels. Many small hotels, apartments and rooms for rent. In general, there are plenty to choose from.
The largest hotel in Sithonia is Porto Carras, we also visited there, I will tell about it separately, it is practically a separate city! I think that there are fans of such places and they will be interested.
Why did we choose Athena Pallas Village?
As usual, we chose the hotel based on reviews and photographs of tourists on various sites. Thanks to everyone who shares personal experience! On travel agency websites, all hotels are good, but people share first-hand information, and, as a rule, honestly tell what they encountered, which is very important. I hope that my review of the hotel is also useful to someone.
Athena Pallas knowingly contains the word “village” in the name, which means village. The hotel is stylized as a Greek village. This can be seen partially in the buildings, in the elements of decor, there are barrels somewhere, a cart was standing near our building, huge vases such as Greek amphorae, with flowers, even for garbage, are located all over the territory.
There are two chapels on the territory of the hotel, where believers can sit in silence and pray, light a candle, putting money at their discretion, no one checks.
The hotel even has its own museum, which presents exhibits that tell about the life and life of the Greeks, from antiquity to the middle of the last century.

We really liked that the hotel is not one or two multi-storey buildings, as is usually the case, but its 1-3 storey buildings are scattered around the territory in the form of a village. In each zone there are rooms, basically, of the same category.
If you stand facing the main entrance and reception, then on the left there will be a three-story building with Superior rooms, then the Doxato restaurant, where all customers eat, to the left is the Armonia complex with Suite rooms.
To the right of the main entrance are buildings with standard numbers. I have not been inside, but from the outside these buildings look very cozy.
All hotel guests can use all the pools, but only guests of this category can use sunbeds in the VIP area, where sunbeds are assigned to rooms.
There are several car parks on site. We were not at the peak of the season, so there were enough parking spaces, but it seems to me that during the peak season, in July-August, there may be problems with parking. Although, in this case, it seems to me, cars can be parked in front of the hotel, since the road is not passing there, there is not much traffic and it is quite possible to park cars along the road.

I didn't mention parking for nothing. The fact is that the hotel is located in a place called Elia, it is between the settlement of Nikiti and the town of Neos Marmaras, and there is no settlement nearby.
The hotel, of course, has everything you need for a holiday, and if you are a fan beach holiday, pools and the sea is all you need, then you don't need a car. And if you need to buy something, then there is a mini-market on the territory of the hotel where you can buy souvenirs, hygiene products, water, etc. More expensive, of course, than in the town, but everything you need is there.
We, on the other hand, love to travel and explore the surroundings, and it’s just convenient when you are independent of public transport, excursions or even bad weather. You take a car and go to a nearby beach, if you don’t like it on your own, to Neos Marmaras for souvenirs or to Thessaloniki for shopping, finally!
Hotel Athena Pallas is ideally located for this type of holiday, in my opinion. And many vacationers do just that. There were practically no empty parking spaces.
And despite the fact that there are a lot of people in the hotel, there is no feeling of overcrowding. Someone leaves immediately after breakfast, someone lies by the pool, someone goes to the beach. Nobody bothers anyone. This is what I really liked!
We were not very lucky with the weather in the beginning. Before our arrival, it had rained, and it was quite cool, and then it rained again. We had already planned to take the car, but wanted to look around first, but the bad weather accelerated this process.
I didn’t want to stay in the hotel, and then there was a promotion for small cars from a local representative of the Drive company, you take a car for three days for 100 Euros. We took 10 days for 300 Euros, plus full insurance - 7 Euros per day. Total 370 Euros for 10 days, plus gasoline, which turned out to be very economical!
Yes, the car was a brand new Nissan Micra. They wanted to take the Opel Corsa, but they had already ended. The car was taken on June 2, and it was the last day of the action, lucky!
Rooms at Athena Pallas Hotel
We have experienced two categories of rooms, and I can write about them. Initially, we booked a Superior room, since the child is already quite large and the standard room, when the three of us could sleep on a large bed, is no longer available to us.
Therefore, already when booking, we are immediately offered the Superior room, where the room is larger than in the standard room and there is an additional sofa, which looks small in the photo, but in fact, quite a decent and adult bed.
The building with rooms of this category is located, as I already wrote, between the building with the reception and the restaurant. We got a room on the first floor, with a balcony overlooking the lawn and overlooking the windows of the restaurant.
Of course, we wanted to see the sea from the balcony! But in our building the sea could only be seen from the rooms on the third floor. And although we arrived on May 31, there were no free rooms even on the second floor. Therefore, we had no choice but to admire the restaurant.
For that, we had a nest of swallows right on the balcony, however, so far without chicks, so there was not much noise from them. I wanted to note this as a feature, there are swallow nests in all buildings and there are a lot of them!
When we got to the Armonia building, which has its own swimming pool, we decided to find out if there were any available rooms. At our request, we were shown free rooms on the first floor and on the second.
The rooms on the first floor have balconies overlooking the pool, not very convenient, on the one hand, if you want to sit on the balcony, and two steps away are people on sun loungers or children running around the pool. But for families with small children, I think it's just great! Children can play right next to the room, it is also convenient to watch them when they swim in the pool.
But from the room on the second floor you could already see the sea, and that decided everything! In addition, the child is already large enough to allow him to swim alone, occasionally glancing at him from the balcony. Very comfortably!
The living room has a large corner sofa, comfortable to sleep and sit. These rooms have two TVs and air conditioners. A normal safe with a combination lock and a human hair dryer, not a standard hotel one, which is a pipe with a nozzle. Bathrobes, slippers, in general, the whole set.
At our request, they gave a kettle, they cleaned it perfectly, bedding and towels were changed every day, as it should be in a five-star hotel.
The staff is very friendly, polite, there are Russian-speaking people, many speak English, there were no problems with communication. In the main bar, almost all the bartenders spoke Russian, many waiters in the bars and the restaurant, students from different countries who came on the "work & travel" program.
Meals in the restaurantDoxato
In the first days, as always, it seemed that the food is very diverse, you can always choose something to your liking. However, after a few days, the same breakfasts are already beginning to become boring. In addition to the traditional fried eggs, scrambled eggs and sausages, there was a selection of yoghurts with and without fruits, a small selection of cheeses, buns and croissants, jams, in general, an ordinary continental breakfast. If anyone is interested, there is no porridge.
For lunch, I always tried to take soup, but it was not always. Large selection of salads and vegetables, delicious sauces for salads.
The dinners were the most interesting. Although, in my opinion, there were few fish dishes, grilled fish was fried only once in two weeks, there were mussels a couple of times and fried anchovies once, but I hoped to come off on fish dishes, it didn’t work out.
But you can always find something delicious! So, if you don't quibble, then everything is fine. Although there were weathered salads, and croissants were not the freshest. (I couldn't help but add a fly in the ointment... 🙂

In the reviews about the hotel, I met a lot of critical remarks about the beach. What is not very equipped and very narrow. This is true. It is not equipped, because there are no changing cabins or a toilet. The nearest toilet is at the reception, and you can change clothes in the room.
But the fact that the beach is narrow did not upset me at all. I can't stand beaches with rows of sunbeds. And if you turn to the right when descending the ladder, then the beach is a little wider there and you can choose a place in the morning so that there is a shadow from the pines and there are sunny gaps and you can take a sun lounger yourself or ask the boy to bring it, but for money, 2 Euros for a whole day.
The right side of the beach is "not equipped"
Another feature that confused me in the reviews is that you can only go to the beach by crossing the road or through an underpass. The first is somehow uncomfortable and the second is not romantic, right?
In fact, everything turned out not so scary! The road is not passing, it is used only for the entrance to the hotel, and the transition is clean and tidy, and the view from it is wonderful, see for yourself.
In general, everything suited me. Another thing is that the water was cool for me personally. Well, you were unlucky with the weather, what can you do?!
Entertainment, animation in the hotel
I don’t have much to write about animation, once there was aqua aerobics in the pool, we didn’t see any more animation, apparently it’s not the season yet, but we weren’t interested in it, to be honest.
Once a week, on Fridays, dinner was not held in an ordinary restaurant, but in an open tavern, it was the so-called "Greek dinner". At the entrance, all guests are met by a couple of dancers in national costumes and photographed with everyone. Then, during dinner, a lady walks between the tables and offers guests to buy photos for 5 Euros. So disrespectful...
Due to the fact that there is not enough space in the tavern, pandemonium occurs during this festive dinner. I recommend not to be late for dinner on Friday, so that you can take a good table, order drinks, and not stand in line for dishes.
Another of the entertainment at the hotel is mini-golf, bowling, you can take tennis rackets at the bar. There is an indoor pool, in which for some reason children could only swim from 10:00 to 12:00! There are also some spa treatments, hammam, sauna, which were free on the all inclusive system, however, they had to be reserved! We didn't use it either.
For that, the child with great pleasure “hunted” for cats, fed them sweets stolen from the restaurant, and even took pictures of a fish caught with his own hand. Why not entertainment?
What did not like in the hotel
Apparently, a mistake during construction, in all rooms there is a problem with the drain. You use the shower, and a fantanchik hits from the drain in the floor or foam comes out, it’s not very pleasant. We had this in both rooms, and I read in the reviews, people also complained.
But what annoyed us the most was the absolutely flawed all inclusive!
My husband and I argued for a long time at the booking stage, I thought it was stupid to pay for all inclusive, especially since we were going to take a car and drive, which means that several dinners will definitely be missed.
But Greece is not Turkey! Greek "all-inclusive" turned out to be a sham! Yes, we were entitled to dinners, as opposed to half board. In all other respects, compared to Turkey or the Emirates, this system has very large limitations.
Bars can only be used from 10:00 or 10:30, I don't remember exactly, and until 18:00! From the food at the bar, you could only order toast, chips and ice cream.
No alcoholic cocktails, from alcohol only local ouzo vodka or some kind of cognac, which was not cognac, my husband tried it once. Even instead of fanta, my husband was brought some local equivalent.
And the sun loungers on the beach were paid, although the tour operator assured us when booking that the all-inclusive system does not need to pay for sun loungers. This is not true!
So, I turned out to be right, and we wasted a decent amount of money on "all inclusive"!
My advice: the best option for this hotel is half board: breakfast - dinner. Especially if you, like us, are going to take a car and drive around the neighborhood.
But even if you didn’t go anywhere and stayed at the hotel, you can have a snack in the afternoon in the tavern, where, they say, they cooked decently, however, we didn’t try it, we worked out our “all inclusive”. Yes, I have not yet denied myself the pleasure of drinking wine for dinner.
In general, if you do not take the "all inclusive" and close your eyes to the drain in the shower, then we can assume that everything else was very pleasant! Consider the recommendations and I think you will also like the Athena Pallas Village.
Now I re-read it, and it seemed to me that I was grumbling. But if you don’t talk about the shortcomings, it won’t be true, what do you think?
But I liked the hotel, no matter what! There is a great atmosphere, nice interiors, very friendly staff! Yes, it certainly does not pull five stars, but it deserves four. And we are very happy with our vacation!

We were just looking for a quiet, cozy hotel without crazy parties in the evenings.
Now, in order about the hotel itself.
Settlement. We arrived at the hotel at 11 am, waited half an hour and we were given the keys to our room. The room pleased us, we booked a room in the Armonia complex. A wonderful place, from the window you could see the sea, and when you exit the building there was a swimming pool. Sometimes, however, we got tired of the noisy children who constantly swam in this pool.
Food. We were fed deliciously, a lot of different dishes. Thank you chef for this! We had an all inclusive system, which made our stay much easier. We didn’t have to constantly think “how much have we already spent on drinks.” But if you don’t want to take an all-inclusive package, then you won’t go hungry anyway. There is a tavern on the territory of the hotel, outside the territory there is a tavern in which the food is very tasty. And of course, in the village of Neos Marmaras there are many taverns for every taste.
Entertainment. As I wrote above, animation program practically absent, only on Fridays there is a mini Greek evening. Therefore, sometimes in the evenings we went to the village of Neos Marmaras and sat in a tavern on the seashore. Romance and more! Regarding this village, it is located 11 km from the hotel. We rented a car and drove it. But you can also get there by bus that runs from the hotel. But my advice to you, take your license and rent a car. Sithonia, such a breathtakingly beautiful island that it is a must see. Very beautiful nature, wonderful beaches with crystal clear water.
Excursions. We flew to this hotel with Mouzenidis. I would also like to separately thank them for the warm welcome at the airport and at the hotel. My husband and I had enough time to rest, and therefore we decided to see with him the main sights of Greece - Athens and Meteora. There is a very comfortable 2 day trip that includes these symbols of Greece. Of course, we spent a lot of time on the road, but it's worth it! In Meteora, these stunning rock temples are simply breathtaking! Indescribable beauty! And of course Athens, the capital of Greece. First of all, the Acropolis struck us with its beauty and grandeur. The place that I heard about from school, to see with my own eyes is unforgettable.
Well, at the end of my review, I would like to thank the hotel staff, cute and smiling girls at the reception and of course our guides at the hotel Alexandra and Natasha, who came to our aid even in the most trifling problems. Thank you!

The only negative is that the hotel is located on a rather noisy road. The issue was solved by buying earplugs in a pharmacy.

We rested with my wife for a week from September 20 to 27 at the Athena Palace Hotel and were simply delighted. amazing beautiful place with the highest standards of service. Very large, well-groomed and beautiful territory, food and service in the restaurant are just wonderful (we especially want to note and thank the restaurant employee Dina for her kind and attentive attitude). , there are master classes and concerts after dinner, there is a good mini-shop. The only possible downside for someone might not be the best best beach at the hotel, but it is also quite good, because the sea here is as impressive as in the whole of Sithonia and a couple of times we were on it. But it is better, of course, to be in a car and drive around the entire peninsula. In general, the hotel definitely met all our expectations and, if possible, we will come to you again!

The dinner food is not very child friendly. I would like that, in addition to all other dishes, there was some kind of children's table like the one they give in kindergarten (mashed potatoes, stewed cutlets, jelly)
Liked everything. Traveling with a one year old. There is everything for a child in the hotel: free rental of strollers, for strollers - pantus along the steps, high chairs in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner, a baby bed in the room, one of the pools with a shallow entry for children. The territory is beautiful, the water in the sea is clean, cleaned every day. We ordered a transfer from / to the airport - excellent, comfortable, 1 hour on the way. The return transfer was 2.5 hours later than the check-out, we were kindly allowed to stay in the room at no extra charge - thank you very much! On Saturdays free tasting of Greek wines, 4 times a week at 21-00 cultural program in the central bar - a tasteful program, not banal, pleasant.

I can't call it minuses, just some nuances that you need to know about. 1) the hotel is located between two settlements practically in the forest, in order not to be tied to the hotel you need a car. A taxi to civilization is not cheap, the prices in the hotel shop are certainly higher than in the city, and the range is not large. 2) the beach is pebbly. In principle, it doesn’t bother at all, on the contrary, the water is clear, you can see the bottom) but with a small child it’s certainly not very convenient, but I can say that if we were without a child, we wouldn’t pay attention to it at all. 3) the only thing that really surprised and a little strained was the crib. We booked it separately, the hotel charges 2 euros per day for it. As a result, we got a playpen with a very low bottom and a very soft mattress. The child could not sleep in it and slept with us the whole vacation🤷🏼♀️. I addressed this issue to the reception, as a result, the maids brought us some kind of extra mattress, but it did not improve the situation. The maids said there were no others. It would be very nice if the hotel provided normal baby cots, not playpens. This is practiced in other five-star hotels.
Without exaggeration, a chic hotel! The holiday began with the fact that upon arrival, a nice girl at the reception announced to us that we were being upgraded. And not just to the next category, but right up to the maisonette 😄 of course, our joy knew no bounds. The room is great! Large, clean, with access to the pool from its own terrace. The room has a bedroom, living room and another bedroom on the second floor. Each room has air conditioning. Considering that we were traveling with a one-year-old child, this resettlement was most welcome. We took breakfast and dinner, I can say that the food is excellent. Dinner always has everything! Fish, several types of meat and poultry. There is also a large selection for breakfast, on Sundays they serve champagne and salmon for breakfast) the only thing is that the sweet table is a bit poor, but I can say that this is a big plus for me! Otherwise, the chances of bringing extra pounds would have increased greatly😅 the hotel is located in a wonderful place, in the evenings we walked along the sea, enjoying the beautiful views and wonderful smells of the coniferous forest. We will be happy to return again! P.s. We had a late departure and we paid extra for a late checkout until 16.00. It cost us 50 euros. I think that this is quite a humane price for such a number.

No toilet on the beach.
The staff is not just friendly, it is positively charged. The hotel has a beautiful green area. I liked the breakfasts and dinners. Of the interesting things, mussels were served on ice or hot in sauce, dorado on the grill, lightly salted salmon, a whole roast pig, and champagne on Sunday mornings. Thanks to the hotel for the generous gift - an upgrade to a family room with two bedrooms, bathrooms and a small patio. The hotel services work smoothly - there was a small problem with hot water in the room. The technicians came right away and fixed everything. Wifi worked without interruption. From entertainment - almost every evening there are performances by the pool by artists: guitarists, singers, Greek dancers or salsa. In the evenings, you can walk along the road (cars rarely drive along it) past the olive grove and beautiful views of the pine trees, the sea and the sunset. Sunbeds on the beach are free. You can go to the beach through the tunnel - 77 steps down. This is not a negative hotel, just a reality. I adapted to the lack of cabanas on the beach.

The beach near the hotel is quite nice, but narrow and pebbly. In 10 minutes by car there is a wonderful Castries, we swam there. Dinner does not include any drinks, not even tea and water. We were not allowed to bring our own water. Well, you know ... In general, quite a lot of side costs, although the price for the room is already not small. Without a car, of course, it’s a bit difficult here, although there are minibuses to Nikiti and Neas Marmaras (paid).
4 restaurants, 2 swimming pools, amazing nature around. The staff understands Russian, everyone is very friendly. A very good shop on the territory, you do not need to go to the city for any small things. A bunch of all sorts of goodies on the territory such as a gym, table tennis, bowling, sauna, SPA, minigolf. The location is excellent, half an hour by car all the sights of Sithonia.

Good afternoon, dear travelers! We decided to write about this hotel, because we believe that we know well about it, having been there 4 times already.
We were in the summer and winter holidays. In winter, the Greeks themselves rest in it, very cozy in winter, there are many fireplaces, they went mainly to Porto Caras in Spa and in Neo Marmaras to local cafes overlooking the sea. For those who are not chasing parties, who know how to entertain themselves and who have enough warmth and communication with loved ones - a very worthy place.
So, let's begin:
1) Flight
There are quite a lot of charters from Moscow to Thessaloniki during the holiday periods, from the ones we tested: UTAir, Aeroflot, AEG
Utair - there are no complaints against the company, in June 2012 this carrier offered the most convenient departure time (it was not necessary to get up at night for a 5-hour flight to the airport with a child and from the hotel, arrival was just at the time of arrival at the hotel) of the three carriers Utair is the only one that had no flight delays - every minute. There is no business class on Utair charters, but everything is clean, comfortable, food is three options for the main course, children are given albums and colored pencils branded by Utair. Departure from Vnukovo (long passport control)
Aeroflot - offers seats in business class and if you buy tickets for the promotion " early booking"then you can take promotional tickets to business class with a 50% discount. The advantages of business class are mainly that a separate window for check-in for a flight, a separate entrance / exit to the plane - as a result, you go through passport control faster. in June 2012 - Aeroflot's departure was on schedule, upon return it was delayed by 1.5 hours.
AEG - the cheapest charters of all, but the most inconvenient time, the food is standard, flight delays and there and back 1 and 2 hours respectively.
2) Road to the hotel
The road from the airport to the hotel takes about 2 hours. Of these, about 40 minutes the bus travels to the first hotel on the p / os Kassandra, then tourists from Athena Pallase are transferred to another transport, in all cases of our trips to this hotel we were the only guests in this hotel.
3) Settlement.

The "youngest" hotel rooms are Maisonnets, they stand apart from all other buildings of the hotel, around a private pool (only for guests of maisonnets). The rooms are good, clean and new. From each room there are 2 exits - one to the pools, the second - "to the street". There are 22 maisonettes in total, one with a private pool, but it is very small and the guests of this room still swim in the shared pool. the pool is clean, they clean it on Mondays, there is a children's area and a jacuzzi. In general - the liveliest pool in the entire hotel, in the main one they practically don’t swim, since it’s in the central part near the tavern - and somehow it’s not very good to swim where they eat, the second pool is near the suites, it hasn’t been repaired for a long time and although it is diligently cleaned - still seems to be running.

4) Territory and beach.
The territory is well-groomed, green, the air is amazing, the smell of melted pine resin, herbs and flowers - I remember for a very long time. Nature is gorgeous. The beach is small, of course, as they say in the reviews, but in my opinion it is very successful - in the morning there is a shadow from the pines over the beach, "lawns" of bright sunlight gradually appear. It’s very good with a child, it’s hard to be on the beach during the day - it’s hot - you burn yourself, not to mention the child, so by 12 o’clock we move to the pool, we return to the beach again at 6 o’clock in the evening - and at 8 pm the water is just lovely. The coast is clean, it was raining, so after it, some kind of machine passed early in the morning, which cleaned the coast from fallen leaves and needles. There were no living creatures such as jellyfish and hedgehogs, especially lucky divers found unfortunate hedgehogs somewhere under the pebbles, which was loudly announced to beach sloths. The coast is pebbly - there is no sand at all - it hurts to walk barefoot, especially on hot stones, but think - what a magical peeling for your heels. All issues are resolved by buying special beach slippers for 20 euros in a hotel shop. Sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach are paid - 6 euros per pair, for those with an all-inclusive system - free of charge. But we, even having the opportunity to use them for free, preferred to be placed on towels, away from the hotel beach - it gets sunny faster and smaller pebbles at the entrance to the sea, which is good for a child. and the Umbrella in the heat will not save anyway. There is a bar on the beach: latte, cold soda, water.
If you have a car, you can get to Lagomandra beach - the beach is sandy and the terrain is flat, the sea wind blows well and there is no such heat, and again there are pine trees under which you can find the desired shade. It's very crowded on weekends.
5)Entertainment
They are not here. There is no playground. Greek evenings in 2008,2010 were much more interesting and lively than in 2012 - maybe because they used to be paid (20 euros per person) - therefore the food was offered more varied and more Greek, and now it's an evening for everyone = instead of dinner . It starts later than a regular dinner, it is very limited in terms of seats, so guests gather earlier and languish for a long time before entering in order to have time to take a seat. Then half of the evening the singer blocks the tail of the queue of those who want to taste "Greek culinary masterpieces" in the form of boiled potatoes, french fries, very undercooked pork and meatballs (by the way, even hungry hotel cats do not eat meatballs) in general, you need to prepare for the fact that on Friday you will go to bed hungry .
6) Nutrition
Here, we got to the most interesting. The hotel offers HB,BB,All - ALL - very peculiar: includes breakfast, lunch, dinner + local spirits + ice cream + free sunbeds on the beach.
The advantages are that drinks under such a system are free, i.e. water, juices, tea, coffee, according to HB - these drinks are included in the bill, we figured that in 2 weeks of vacation we "recaptured" ALL - only on water, juices and ice cream for children. By the way, a milkshake from the same ice cream is no longer included in the list of available free of charge according to the ALL system.
Compared to previous years, the food in June 2012 was disgusting - there was absolutely nothing to feed the children, in addition, there were often spoiled foods (smell everything, pick out the batter from the fish and sniff the fish), they say, in connection with the crisis, the team of cooks headed by the chef -cook. We ate mainly: breakfast in the room, lunch and dinner in the tavern - they cook excellently in the tavern, a decent menu, large portions, the children ate soup - every day new, soups were very pleasing with their usual (the buffet menu served mainly tomato soup, and some kind of gray-transparent sour broth with crackers). In general, you can eat at the buffet for an adult, but for a child - there is nothing at all. There is a good supermarket in Nikiti, they took milk, yogurts, baby cereals and mashed potatoes, fruits there. The hotel offered not much fruit, for a watermelon - a queue, mostly oranges and apples.
7) Guests.
In the summer - mostly Serbs - married couples - fathers selflessly tinker with children (they learn to swim, dive, learn English and play ball, wet the legs of babies in the sea and in the evenings ply with strollers around the hotel so that the child falls asleep, mothers sunbathe - honestly - very envious.)) A lot of cars from Ukraine, Bulgarians, Croats. Children are apolitical - on the beach and by the pool they understand each other without words, communicate with chuckles, smirks, expressions of emotions on their faces and are quite happy.
In winter - the Greeks themselves from Thessaloniki have a rest on New Year's holidays.
8) Why are we going again? The hotel is very cozy, everyone can find a place to their liking in it.
Let's go again to the maisonnet, on HB. Accommodation in these rooms seems very comfortable to us, the pool is nearby - the area is away from the main hotel trails - apart and very cozy - they are very comfortable with children. Breakfast in the room, lunch (soup for children) in the tavern. We always take a car, so the sandy beach of Lagomandra is at our disposal, with comfortable accommodation in Athene, but we are also very comfortable on the hotel beach)))
All possible inconveniences are covered by nature, sea, air.
We were looking for another hotel for the next summer, disappointed in the hotel's cuisine, visited Porto Carras Sithonia Hotel, Lagomandra Hotel, DANAI BEACH RESORT - I will say that we deliberately do not look at hotels on the Kassandra p / os, although there are many decent star hotels, because . nature is brighter and richer in Sithonia. And from the presented hotels of the 4.5 * category in Sithonia, Athena is a very worthy option. The pompous Danai does not justify its price, Porto Caras is a decent Spa, a completely bare beach (shade only from umbrellas), and also small-pebble, a lot of people, one large building - you can’t fit in so that you can’t go out of your room and touch the olive on tree or catch a huge grape snail crawling onto the terrace. Lagomandra loses a lot, in terms of numbers and territory. In general, when you think about your vacation this summer, you remember the huge cicadas on the pine trees, the smell of pine needles, resin and flowers, the warm turquoise water of the sea, the olive grove at the exit from the room.
