Sobornaya Sloboda is the most important part of the Plyos revival project, known as the Hidden Russia. The houses of Sobornaya Sloboda, which are part of the residential estate of the Shevtsov family scattered in the center of Plyos, are designed to serve as models of life in a “little Russian paradise”, are designed to attract new residents and summer residents to Plyos. The main purpose of these houses has always been to accommodate honored guests of the family, including many well-known and famous people - statesmen, big businessmen, diplomats, scientists, cultural and art figures.
To live not in a hotel, but in a real old residential building is the highest luxury that can be experienced in the city-reserve. Thanks to the well-established service, guests of the Shevtsovs can come to Sobornaya Sloboda at any time, including in the absence of the hosts. In addition to family members and guests of honor, the hospitality of these legendary houses in their spare time can be used by tenants, who are usually recommended by mutual acquaintances. The old dachas of Sobornaya Sloboda are rented out on average for no more than a month during the year.
Over the ten years of the development of the Cathedral Sloboda project, several exemplary houses repaired by the Shevtsovs found new owners. Situated on prime locations in the heart of a protected city, five suites, three junior suites and two apartments offer the highest degree of privacy and comfort. Suites
Novozhilov's house. Built in 1907, this charming red-brick mansion is the only example of the Art Nouveau style in Plyos. In Soviet times, there was a communal apartment here, but not a simple one, but an elite one: the legendary Evstoliya Kuznetsova, Mayor of Plyos from 1949 to 1974, lived in the current pink office, and the dining room was occupied by the family of the Hero of the Soviet Union - the head of the pier.
Plaster stucco cornices, plank floors, tiled stoves have been preserved in the house (two of them were rebuilt by communal residents in the early 1950s). The only part of the house that has undergone complete reconstruction is a wooden glazed veranda with rich carved decor and figured pattern of window frames. Two shower rooms were built on the site of the communal kitchen.
In the basement there is a butler's apartment with an equipped kitchen, connected to the room via a video intercom.
A memorial plaque on the facade of the house is dedicated to the stay in it on October 13-14, 2005 of Their Royal Highnesses Prince Michael of Kent and Princess of Kent (TRH Prince and Princess Michael of Kent).

House Maklashins. The building, consisting of two interlocked log cabins, is the closest neighbor of the Levitan House-Museum. House of the Krylovs. The mezzanine house was built on the northeast slope of Cathedral Hill in 1870. Smirnov's house. Suite with an area of 120 sq.m. located on the Shokhonka bank opposite the boat station. It includes a log house built in the early 1950s, a bath-house cut from aspen and a frame extension connecting them with two shower rooms and access to the courtyard. Rooms "Apartment" Captain's cottage. A large semi-stone house near the Resurrection Church was built at the end of the 19th century and for a long time belonged to the Ogurechnikov family (not to be confused with the Ogureshnikovs). Five bedrooms on the second floor bear the names of the great rivers: "Zambezi", "Loire", "Amazon", "Danube", "Mississippi". On the ground floor there is a dining room, a small TV room, a spacious kitchen and a room for staff on duty. Restaurant "Yacht Club"
The restaurant is located in a completely renovated and built-on brick mansion opposite the cruise ship pier, an architectural monument known as the Sobolev House. Natalia Shevtsova during 2005 created memorable interiors and provided the building with all the necessary technical systems (kitchen equipment, ventilation and air conditioning, heating). The mezzanine restaurant offers modern Russian cuisine and local specialities. The grill bar in the basement serves traditional homemade dishes.
