To begin with, it takes 3 hours to drive from the airport to the hotel, taking into account check-in at other hotels for dropping off vacationers. The first thing that unpleasantly surprised us was that the accompanying guide simply dropped tourists off and the bus left. Maybe it's normal in Pegasus, I don't know, because the first time we traveled with this tour operator. And if there are any misunderstandings in hotels or force majeure, then whom to look for in an unfamiliar foreign country. No one speaks Russian at the reception. It's good that they settled right away. The room was on the first floor with access to the pools. The decor of the room itself is ancient. The condition of the furniture, especially the cabinets, leaves much to be desired. The bathroom is also old, but in principle not bad. The toilet was not secured to the floor. None of the staff responded to this complaint. TVsmall, showed 1.5 Russian-language channels and those with all sorts of nonsense in the recording from 2012-2015. The image quality is terrible. The room was cleaned every other day and towels changed. According to the stars, the number itself is no more than 3. The food is excellent, of course, without frills, but varied. There is a children's menu and a separate room for children's meals. Juices, soda, beer. There was also wine, but the taste left much to be desired (maybe someone likes it). You won't be hungry all day long. The beach is very small pebbles, it gets very hot during the day, so you can’t go far without slippers. There are children's water slides with a pool. The sea is very clean, like in Egypt. And the fish also swim near the shore, only few of them. Super Animation led by the Italian Tony does not let children and adults get bored all day long. Tony, a separate hello to you from the Russian Barbie (this is my daughter, 4 years old). Well done animators people are directly drawn to various kinds of entertainment. Of the excursions offered by the guide, we took one so as not to travel far by bus - this is a trip to the island on a pirate ship with a stop and swimming on this island. In general, I only liked swimming on this a la "pirate" ship, and the island itself is a complete scam along with the guide who accompanied us. The beach of our hotel is many times better than on this island. We rented a car and drove around the south of the island much more interesting. We rested in this hotel from 9 days in early July! We are satisfied with the hotel. It takes quite a long time to get there, at least 2 hours on a comfortable bus, but we drove half of Crete and looked at other hotels (none of them impressed). We arrived at about 9 in the morning, we were ringed (a bracelet on our hand), and we went for breakfast. The room was already settled at 10.30 Room 1510 on the corner of the main building overlooking the sea and the olive grove. The rooms are in good condition, cleaning every day except Sunday, beach towels are changed in the lobby without a deposit. Of the noise, only constant songs performed by cicadas, well, with a strong wind, the sounds of a blizzard. Those who go to rest here should take into account that this is the 2nd line and it takes about 10 minutes to go to the sea, but it also takes about 15 minutes to go back uphill. There is a mini-bus that runs on schedule, but more often we wenton foot (after hearty lunches and dinners in the main hotel) We had no complaints about food, every day in the main restaurant there were soups, fried fish, chicken, pork and a bunch of everything that simply did not fit on a plate. Great desserts. We played tennis every day (3 courts in good condition) We took rackets with us (they also give out on the spot) There is a mini-football court, and half of basketball (did not play), a mini-golf course. But we spent most of our time at the sea, we practically did not use the pools. The beach is small pebbles, it gets very hot by lunchtime - you need slippers, slates. SPA procedures were not visited, somehow it did not work out. Or maybe they have a high price tag for us. Great animation team, the kids were very happy. Mini disco every day, then a small but fun show for adults and children. Adults also have something to do, but it is difficult to play volleyball or mini-football in the heat of 30. We bought a ticket to Crete at the travel agency "Let's go on a tour" (Grodno), they didn't let us choose a hotel, the price tag was broken as for 10 stars out of five possible, but out of inexperience we agreed to their conditions (usually we travel planning everything without outside help, in the first once turned to a travel agency and the result was extremely depressing, alas). So, let's start: 1. Hotel location: 10 km to the nearest hospital (this is important) There is no local doctor - there is a first-aid post 200 meters from the hotel with a nurse at the post, the appointment costs 80 euros and, in fact, they will not be able to help you there, even if commonplace headache Buses to Ierapetra run every hour and a half 2. Condition of the rooms: It seemed that the hotel was built in the early 80s and nothing has been updated since then. Tired furniture, double bed in fact, it consists of two single beds, which all the time move apart in different directions. There is not a single grounded outlet in the room! The refrigerator in the table plays the role of an alarm clock at any time of the day - it knocks at completely random intervals so loudly that even a child from the second room of the family room wakes up. Closets with cockroaches - I recommend checking things upon returning from this hell before bringing them home. Bathroom... first of all, the water is rusty. All time. Secondly, the condition of the bathroom itself and the plumbing in it is no better than the condition of the furniture in the room. Mirrors are broken. When cleaning the rooms (which is at a disgusting level and only 4 times in 7 days), they use some very low-quality and possibly dangerous antiseptic - I have repeatedly noticed that after cleaning the room it is enough to touch the tap to get an almost instant allergic reaction to the whole hand. The situation with air conditioners is sad - they seem to work, but they seem to not. The only mode is 24 degrees, which the hotel staff warns about, if you try to set another mode, the air conditioner fails. Internet in the hotel is now free, but it works only in the hotel lobby. 3. Territory of the hotel: The pool is cleaned daily, there is a paddling pool for children. You can also go to the territory of sunshine Crete beach - there are several more pools. As for sun loungers and umbrellas - worn out, some have an unstable mechanism - they fold under people in the body (we observed such a picture) you can press your arm or leg like that). 4. Meals: Breakfasts are monotonous. What was not eaten today is sealed with cling film and put out again the next day, this can be repeated up to 4 days, only on the 5th day fresh food is laid out. Well, that this is not 5 stars, they have already written before me. I'll attach a photo below why. The lobby smells of old furniture. Closets creak in the rooms, one of them smells of sweat from past guests inside. In the bathroom, a piece of tile was thrown over the drain on the floor. Linen is not changed every day, which is not convenient - we rest with a child and it often gets dirty. Shower gels do not flow, apparently old. There are no cotton swabs and disks. The playground is poor. No playroom for children. Fitness room - a pair of exercise machines under a canopy on the street. Some beds with holes. Upon arrival, you will receive vouchers for a free 15-minute massage. My husband gave me his, so I wanted to sign up for a free massage for 30 minutes - but this is not possible, you can only use 1 per person, apparently to sell more massages. ATOn Monday, I was booked for a massage only on Friday, which is strange - I don’t see crowds of clients in the SPA. But all this is absolutely tolerable and not very significant for me, but the situation with food and TV all inclusive cannot be forgiven! Firstly, the food is monotonous and the most simple. Spaghetti from lunch seemed to be brought to dinner. The same applies to “seafood pasta” (small pasta with small shrimp, which, obviously, were frozen before - well, as we have at home). The meat is monotonous and the fish. Other than that, no seafood. The only delicious cakes. Breakfast until 10. Late breakfast - until 11. Do not be lazy and get up early, because late breakfast is muesli with tasteless milk, slightly weathered bread with jam and chocolate butter. Tasteless coffee. Snacks end at 4. Lunch is at 2:30 and dinner starts at 7:30 - such a long pause without the possibility of a snack is sad. Even there are no machines with baguettes or chocolates. All inclusive drinks are about nothing. No flushes. The wine is just gross! Drinking is impossible. Cocktails in the bar are 40% vodka. They put an orange in a pina colada. The worst bar ever. Next, the disco. It's just a big column with music in the same bar. Until 00:30. The bar, by the way, also smells of old furniture. The pool bar is not open. The declared babysitter for children is absent. But okay, but the air conditioning in the room is good. Good pools for kids. nice beach with various services (diving, banana, paragliding). The sea is just great! Transparent, at a depth of 1.5 m near the shore, beautiful fish are visible even without a mask. It is a pity that the approach to the sea is a little steep - it quickly becomes deep and the legs get stuck in small pebbles - inconvenient for children. True, we were overtaken by a strong wind - 48 km / h, at this time it is better to plan excursions or trips to the city - there is nothing to do in the hotel in such weather. The animation is very simple. In general, a good hotel for a budget holiday. Absolutely for modest requests and no bells and whistles. But it's not 5 stars! Although the accommodation fee is for five. I would not go here for passive recreation with a child. Suitable for young people who have low demands.…

My husband and children and I rested at the Kalimera Club hotel for the second time. The first trip there was in June 2013. We have something to compare with, and, believe me, we have visited a lot of places, then the price and quality are very inherent in this hotel and there is nothing to complain about. But, perhaps, I wanted more free sunbeds by the pool, otherwise there are not enough of them for such a large number of everyone. And so, we had a chic room, a beautiful and cozy balcony. The choice of food is sufficient for both a vegetarian and a meat eater. Indeed, if you want to relax without screaming and fuss, then come and you will not regret it. The hotel is aimed at adults and children. A huge area where you can take a walk, several animation sites in neighboring hotels, a lot of greenery. If you are relaxing in this hotel, then all the entertainment and restaurants with the beaches of neighboring hotels are available to you, so you will not be bored for sure. We stayed at this hotel last autumn. We were satisfied with our stay and the hotel itself. Booked a room on the second floor with a sea view. The room is small, the bathroom has a shower and bath, which is very convenient. Also, the room has a huge, soft double bed. There is a large mirror, bathrobes, hairdryer, minibar and free safe. Pleased with the presence of Russian channels. Although we only watched it before bed. Room cleaning left a good overall impression. The territory of the hotel is average, but we did not expect to see a large one. But it is well-groomed and skillfully equipped for recreation. Sunshine Crete Beach & Annex 5 * is a large hotel on the island of Crete. It is located 8 kilometers from the nearest town of Ierapetra, on the southern coast of the island, which determines its profile - a beach holiday. A large green area in close proximity to the sea is consistent with its autonomous operation and the reception of tourists on an all-inclusive basis.

In fact, the complex is represented by two hotels, with a unified infrastructure:

The sea, the sun and a well-thought-out family vacation system have been attracting our compatriots to the Sunshine Calimera Club Kreta & Annex for 10 years now. People come here with teenagers as well as with very young children.

For several years now, an international team of animators, including Russian-speaking ones, has been working in the institution, capable of turning children's holidays into a memorable holiday.

Rooms

Regardless of the season, the hotel is usually fully loaded with all rooms: 219 in Club Calimera 5* and 107 in Sunshine Village. Recommended for booking:

• 158 two-room family families (36 m²);

All rooms are quite spacious, have tiled floors, panoramic windows opening onto a balcony or terrace, furnished with a table and a couple of chairs. The reason for choosing a room can be the view from the window (on the sea, on the garden, on the surroundings) and belonging to the non-smoking category.

By the way, if you prefer peace in the evenings, you should choose garden or land view.

The furnishings and decor of the rooms create a feeling of comfort. There is everything you need for a healthy sleep and placement of things. Family rooms are located on the lower floors of buildings or in bungalows, which is convenient for children. In addition to the parent bed, they have 2 beds in the form of a folding sofa. And sliding doors during the day turn adjacent rooms into a large room. At the same time, extra cots for children under 12 years old are provided free of charge.

Each room has:

A dense two-layer curtain on the window saves the guests from the midday southern sun. In the room you can connect to the Wi-Fi network, after paying for the service at the reception.

Each bathroom has a complete set of modern sanitary ware and necessary equipment, including a hairdryer. Guests are not guaranteed a bathrobe and slippers, and you will have to think about a toothbrush with toothpaste, but a set of towels with a regular daily change is required.

From the reviews of tourists for 2020: for Russians who are not used to saving, hygiene consumables are clearly not enough. And one more thing: there is always bottled drinking water in the room at the time of arrival, then you should use the water coolers on the floors and in the restaurant.

Food

The All inclusive system at Club Calimera Sunshine Kreta 5 * is a multiple meal in restaurants of different cuisines, including snacks by the pool and on the beach. Guests have unlimited free access to beer and wine tapping stations, soft drinks and ice cream.

In Greece, a national feature is the preparation of dishes from the freshest and highest quality products. The more "stars" a hotel has, the more varied the menu, and the popular buffet certainly has a vegetarian and dietary zone.

The soup, however, has only one name and, as is customary in Europe, it is mashed.

In Greece, you need to be prepared for large portions in an a la carte restaurant and ask the waiter in advance about its volume. Each guest can, by appointment, taste delicious Italian and Greek cuisine in the a la carte restaurant or the Greek tavern.

For a child, if the guest is not satisfied with the diet table, the main restaurant can cook something from a special children's menu, heat milk, even if it is not in the general serving.

Staff

The Greeks are exceptionally friendly and positive-minded people, they are traditionally friendly towards Russians. But they are not in a hurry to learn Russian. In Sunshine Crete Beach there is only one Russian-speaking employee at the front desk, and he works in shifts. True, the staff speaks excellent English and German, and in these languages ​​it is always possible to achieve mutual understanding.
