    The room was on the 1st floor with a direct view of the golf, beach and sea (we checked out the view in the morning at dawn). The porter showed us everything in the room, told us about the safe (the safe door was slammed, it was impossible to set it up), showed Russian channels on TV (5 channels: 22,23,24,25,26), channel No. 1 broadcast the daily routine.     In the morning we woke up from the singing of birds, the sea was calm and we did not hear the sea in the first days. The glass sliding door to the lawn near the room consists of 2 parts, one part can be moved away, there is a grid, it is very comfortable to sleep at night, no living creatures and fresh air.
    In front of the room on the lawn there is a table, 2 chairs and 2 sunbeds. A mini dryer is attached to the wall. The side is sunny, things dried very quickly in the sun.

    We pulled a rope in the toilet and dried things there when it rained.

    Later, having got acquainted with our compatriots, we were curious:
    - in room No. 1111 in the central building No. 1 on the second floor, the view there was on the roof of the dining room and the courtyard of the lobby, where a large tree grows. The area is larger than a bungalow, a large balcony. The girl lived there alone, and her room was completely satisfied, the view from the window was not relevant to her, no noise bothered her.
    - in room No. 2024 in building No. 2 (with a view of the SPA), on the first floor. A room from the “connect” series with a door in the wall to another room-number. The room was more than a bungalow and standard in 1 building. The girl here also lived alone, and apart from the snoring of her neighbor, nothing bothered her.
    The only thing we did not like was that the terrace near the room (not a balcony) was on public display, although there were not very active people walking by. There was a table and 2 chairs, a mini dryer hung on the wall. In our bungalow everything is fenced with tall bushes and you can't see what's going on behind them. More privacy. We only saw neighbors on the sides.
    - another of our friends lived in building number 3 in the standard on the top floor, they had a balcony, but we never got to their room ...
    - on the “upper tier” of the bungalow, where they are one-story, we saw family rooms: a separate entrance, 2 rooms (without a door), a bath and a shower, a terrace with a canopy (it turned out to be very important when it rained, we didn’t have a canopy) there 2 chairs, table and dryer on the wall. But also on public display, the bushes are not closed.

    In principle, all the rooms that we saw are quite decent in location. The situation is the same everywhere and the content too.

    Personally, I don’t eat spicy and I didn’t eat it, there have always been European-style non-spicy dishes in the assortment (wish - put a pepper icon next to the names of the dishes, then it will immediately be clear what is peppered and what is not)
    My stomach instantly reacts to: spicy, fried, fatty, with an abundance of yeast, etc. BUT...everything was perfect for me. I didn’t remember the stomach even once during the whole vacation ...

    There were also dishes from the chef, beautifully served in portions on the buffet.

    Baking is beyond praise. Own bakery. Over 20 types of bread. Croissants, pies, confectionery ... Everything is fresh.

    Freshly squeezed juices in the morning.

    We visited the kitchen, looked at how the dishes are prepared (as part of the “behind the scenes” excursion). They stuck their nose everywhere (Revizorro was not overlooked in vain) Cleanliness everywhere. The meat shop is perfectly clean, there is no smell - amazing. Refrigerators are also clean, beef meat is purchased according to standards - at least 300 kg carcass.
    We were shown a refrigerator with samples of all dishes daily for sanitation. We visited the warehouse, got acquainted with the stocks of food and drinks. It was very interesting to see what products are baked from (I didn’t know that from the seeds of “sorghum”* of our “broom” - well, remember brooms in Russia - they make flour and get delicious gluten-free cookies, reminiscent of halva).
    *Sorghum is an annual plant native to hot Africa.

    There were fruits: melons, apples, delicious plums and pears, a lot of dates on a branch.

    There were no watermelons and no figs either. We asked on the tour why. We were told that someone complained about poisoning, supposedly, watermelon and watermelons were banned. Someone found a worm in a fig. The figs were also removed.

    We arrived at the start of breakfast, lunch and dinner. The tables were empty. The dishes were clean, tablecloths and cutlery too.
    During our first dinner, we arrived late, because. We were settled and the waiter offered us to sit down at a large table, at which someone was already eating. It didn’t bother us, on the contrary, we got to know the vacationers and learned a lot about what and how…
    Before the start of heavy rains, we did not notice flies in the restaurant and always ate on the open terrace. There were exactly as many flies as in the suburbs in the summer at the dacha (2-3 pieces) After the flood, the flies became more active, and it became impossible to eat on the veranda, there were “a swarm and a small cart” ... , was not (they did not get us, we did not see them on the dishes)

    For the most part, the waiters try and nimble, offer wine, quickly bring, clean. This is how we tip.
    The arrangement of waiters was properly organized, they were not permanently assigned to certain tables. Almost every meal changed...

    If we saw sluggishness, then we didn’t leave any tips and didn’t really wait for someone to pay attention to us, but we drew attention to ourselves and actively ... therefore, we didn’t have any problems with service ...

    Same with teaspoons. At the beginning of our holiday, teaspoons in the morning for breakfast were laid out individually when serving. Then the spoons disappeared (at breakfast) and I had to turn to the waiters or casually pull them out of their racks with cutlery (?) Probably, we need to somehow regulate the migration of teaspoons at breakfast and prescribe them in some one, visible to everyone, place.

    At lunch and dinner, teaspoons lay next to desserts.

    Animation and excursions:

    I draw your attention to the fact that at the reception (next to the lobby bar) all information about the hotel, employees and a newspaper with the daily routine for the day and events in 3 languages ​​(including Russian) is posted. Also, the newspaper hangs at the main entrance next to with sliding doors.

    Animation is active and not intrusive.
    Guys animators well done. They try to speak 4 languages. A bunch of all sorts of activities: water aerobics in the sea, bocha, step aerobics, zumba, etc.
    There are paid classes (the first lesson is free): golf lessons, tennis lessons, surf lessons, etc.
    Shows are a must in the evenings. Live music. Sports night. Gala evening, etc.
    We didn't see everything, but we liked what we saw.

    Until 24:00 disco by the pool bar. Then silence sets in, all the party-goers move to the closed dance room, where there is also a bar. Dancing until 3 am. The music let us down ... a very strange DJ with a repertoire. Probably the playlist must be agreed in advance with the administration, otherwise the assortment is very strange for a disco ...

    The territory was planned in such a way that all the noise from the hotel disco comes from non-residential premises and does not interfere with the guests.

    We were told about the history of the hotel: first there was a German Narcissus, then Aldiana, until 2017, the hotel did not work for 3 years. In 2017, it opened under the new name Delfino Beach Resort & SPA, all the furniture, rooms, equipment are still in use, the old German one. Renovation is planned gradually”, showed the kitchen, warehouse, laundry, power generators, water treatment system, we went down 7 m underground to the bomb shelter, went behind the scenes of the amphitheater and saw where the costumes are sewn… We were introduced to the hotel staff.

    There is also animation for children and there is a separate area in the form of a kids club (we haven’t been, I can’t say anything)

    We took a two-day excursion to the Sahara from our tour operator. Cost $104/person (all inclusive, except quads). We were the first to be picked up from the hotel at 5 am. The bus is new and comfortable. The logistics are well thought out. We traveled 1000 km and 160 km by bus. jeeps in the desert. We liked. It wasn't hot. The weather was +30 and clouds. The hotel spent the night in Duza Sunpalm4 *, in Moorish style, with a swimming pool, what you need to "spend the night", fed well (drinks are not included) We rode camels, met the dawn, stopped by an oasis, etc.

    While we were in the Sahara, in Nabeul and Hammamet on 09/22/2018, the abyss of heaven opened up and a flood occurred ... people died in Nabeul ... The hotel was almost undamaged, the path to the sea was slightly washed out and 150 rooms leaked ... including ours ... but we found out about this after returning...

    We didn’t go on excursions anymore ... we wanted to be at sea more ... but the weather began to deteriorate ...

    Staff:
    The staff tries to fulfill all wishes. Welcoming, friendly, learn Russian. No prejudice against the Russians was noticed. Sometimes they are not quick, perhaps due to mentality. Whose work we liked: porter, waiters, maid - we gave tips.
    A great test was for all the staff in the deluge of 22.09. It was a shock, they had not seen such a downpour for 100 years.
    Many were unable to get to work at the hotel. Only 3 waiters served the restaurant (as we were told)
    Some guests leaked rooms and the staff solved this problem. All vacationers, both Germans and Russians, together with the maids in one of the buildings, scooped up water from the corridor so that it would not enter the rooms ...
    It rained all day and the animators in the lobby at the reception occupied everyone ... The path to the beach was washed out. Within 2 days after the downpour, the staff scrubbed, repaired, corrected ... gardeners scrubbed the paths and put the lawn in order, drove the tractor to cover the washout, then laid the tiles again ... After 2 days, nothing reminded of the flood ...

    Despite the weather, we had a great time. Caught both calm and storm. And heat and cold in the evening (+18C). Personally, we decided for ourselves that after September 15 we would no longer go to Tunisia for beach holiday.
    The hotel is recommended for a relaxing, sports holiday.

    I will not compare a hotel in Tunisia with Turkey, Greece, the Dominican Republic, etc. (Turkey will win, Greece will lose, we haven’t reached the Dominican Republic yet…)

    Each country is unique in its own way and has its own characteristics, traditions, mentality. Before you go on vacation, you need to study the features of the country so that there is no disappointment.

    If you compare a 4 * hotel, then only with a 4 * hotel in Tunisia. Many friends vacationed this year in Tunisia, and, according to their reviews, comparing their hotels and this one, I can say that for 4 **** in TUNISIA, this hotel is VERY DECENT and cozy. Resting a lot of foreigners-Europeans. During our visit, ~80% was Europe.
    Price / quality - optimal.
    As with any place, there are pros and cons, and for each vacationer they are different.

    For us personally, the cons were not significant. And we were satisfied with the choice of the hotel.
    Perhaps we will return to the hotel for a relaxing beach holiday, maybe in summer or early autumn.
