• Holidays in July: where is it better to go or fly to relax? Where to relax at sea in July? Beach holidays in July The best sea in July

    30.11.2023
To go or not to go on vacation in July - that is the question, but not where to go in July. July is not even the second month of summer, but such a special time when everything is good, especially for a real traveler, for whom, to paraphrase the famous song: “what do I care about snow, what do I care about heat when I am abroad.”
Making ratings of the countries most suitable for a holiday in July is a thankless task, but we still decided to choose the 13 best destinations, the “devil’s dozen”, so to speak. And who knows, perhaps you will spend the vacation of your dreams on the beach of one of the states we have listed. By the way, about the devilry... Pilots have a superstition: be sure to wear at least one thing that has already been “flying” during a flight. So if the pilot on your flight looks slightly crumpled, the flight will be successful, but choose where exactly to fly.

    Spain: a passion for relaxation

Let's start with perhaps one of the most popular countries among Russian travelers - Spain. Here you will find a holiday for every taste, color and orientation. Walking around designer Barcelona, traveling through colorful Andalusia and shopping in royal Madrid are just part of what the birthplace of flamenco, paella and bullfighting has to offer.

Throughout the month, the skies of Spain bloom with myriads of fireworks. At the beginning of July, Tarragona hosts an international pyrotechnics festival, then the celebrations flow to Blanes, where every evening a fire extravaganza is staged in the sky. For lovers of national celebrations and local holidays, we recommend visiting on July 16 Marbella where it takes place La Festividad de Nuestra Señora del Carmen, a traditional celebration in honor of the patron saint of sailors, Saint Virgin Carmen. And at the end of July you can witness a holiday that will send a chill down your spine even on the hottest day: the triumph of the living dead. In the town Las Nieves on the border with Portugal, every year on July 29 at 10.00, coffins arrive at the city church with those wishing to listen to mass. At the end of the mass, the procession heads to the cemetery and then returns to the church so that those who have “fortunately escaped entering the dark house called Death” can receive a blessing.

But you don’t have to chill out in the family crypt. You can just, that’s where it’s really quiet and peaceful, God’s grace. If you think that the village is too small for you, take a closer look at a more pretentious vacation - in the paradors.

Among them, of course, there are monasteries with Spartan conditions, but mostly these are castles and mansions that belonged to members of royal families and descendants of noble families. So, grab your bank card and go ahead and book tickets and hotels for your holiday in Spain while you can still find a place in the sun.

Greece: the country where everything is there

Frankly, it is difficult to add anything else to the words of the great and brilliant Anton Pavlovich Chekhov, but let us remind you, he is a doctor and will not give bad advice.

    Italy: taste it

In Italy, it is customary to instill in a person a sense of self-worth and a taste for life from a young age. Italians love to live on a grand scale, almost like Russians, but at the same time their innate sense of style and beauty gives this scope a peculiar charm and sophistication. Therefore, even in the port you can spend a luxurious vacation, not to mention all the attractiveness of the resorts of the Marche region, and the best.

    Germany: give ish fantastic!

All the little joys of a travel connoisseur in one country. A week or two will fly by unnoticed during or over a glass of Riesling, sitting on the terrace of a medieval castle hotel.

Pleasant weather, picturesque landscapes... What if you combine a trip to Germany with Italy?! We are afraid that the level of happiness in this case may exceed acceptable limits and the vacation will last until the end of your days. Although, why hide it, it’s worth trying at least once in your life.

Portugal: Journey to the End of the World

Maybe it’s for the best that the virus of “mass tourism” still won’t reach this land of gardens, fields and rivers. Therefore, if you have not yet thought about a trip to Lisbon or a vacation on the island, then we strongly recommend doing so right now, before a vacation on the Atlantic coast becomes mega-popular.

Take a ride on the famous yellow tram, which has become the hallmark of Lisbon, sip port wine in , breathe in the aromas of the garden island of Madeira and be sure to visit the edge of the world(and don’t forget to bring a certificate from there about the significant event).

    Chile: ski paradise

Just imagine the expression on the faces of your colleagues and acquaintances when you tell them that you spent your vacation not like everyone else, on the beach (well, okay, there was a beach too), but on the ski slopes.

They will envy you, they will ask you about Antarctica (what does the fifth continent of planet Earth have to do with it? You can go there from Chile for one or two days on a cruise ship from Punta Arenas), penguins and whether the slopes in Portillo are good, and at this time you will broadcast about your discoveries and post terrabytes of photographs and your “new book of life of a real traveler” on tourist forms and do not forget to tell others that you do not need to obtain a visa to Chile in advance

Peru: Journey of the Thinking INKA

Peru in July is an adventurer's paradise, for those who are indulgent, if not disdainful, of barbecue holidays and eager for new discoveries.

In July it is winter in Peru (it is especially cold in Puno and Cusco), so take warm clothes with you in advance, but this is the best time for long excursions (it is during the winter period that the least amount of precipitation falls in Peru) and nothing will stop you from seeing the world attraction - Machu Picchu ( tickets to visit the complex must be purchased at least a week before the planned visit), walk the Inca Trail and visit the Sacred Valley.

    Mauritius: enjoy the island

Local residents believe that it is too cold to vacation in Mauritius in July. We fundamentally disagree with this and are sure that they tell such tales solely because they themselves also want to relax. The air temperature in Mauritius in July is 25-26 degrees Celsius, the coastal waters are a couple of degrees cooler, which means you can swim not only in the hotel pool. This is also the best time to take excursions around the island, visiting the colorful lands of Chamarel and the magnificent botanical gardens. For a holiday in Mauritius, it is better to choose the west and north-west of the island.

    Thailand: yourself on Koh Samui

Yes, you can and should go to Thailand all year round. Besides, summer is even better than winter. Emerald water is warm, like fresh milk, a turquoise sky without a single cloud and half-empty beaches (go in December, when Samui is “not in season”, and compare for yourself).

With all this, air carriers give very good prices for flights on regular flights, and throughout Thailand there is a sales season when prices are literally reduced by up to 80%. So it makes sense to stay a couple of days in Bangkok to buy products from Thai silk, creams, scrubs and lotions created according to local recipes from environmentally friendly products, as well as a couple of elephants as a souvenir of a successful trip.

July is the height of holidays and children's holidays, and the holiday options at this time of year seem to be absolutely endless.

    Beach resorts

The height of the holiday season, which traditionally falls in July, provides ample opportunities for beach holidays at resorts. At the same time, when choosing a vacation by the sea during this period, it is worth considering that the cost of a trip in July is slightly higher, but you can always count on last-minute tours. Charter programs allow you to go on vacation to almost anywhere in Europe. It must be remembered that July is a hot month, so when choosing a holiday destination, it is important to take into account the temperatures characteristic of the region.

Despite the heat and popularity of many resorts in July, mid-summer is a great opportunity to combine an educational excursion holiday with a vacation on the sea or ocean coast. By choosing this option, you can not only see the sights and see natural monuments, but also to restore strength on the beach and get a beautiful, even tan. Wide possibilities of combined tours are offered in and. The history and culture of these countries is unique, and the proximity to the sea provides the opportunity for a quality beach holiday.

    Vacation with children

By sending a child to a children's or teenage camp abroad, we can say with confidence that he will not only find new friends, but also learn one or more foreign languages. International camps located on and will help the child quickly adapt to a new language environment - and improve knowledge. In, and a large selection of camps based on interests - in particular, sports, computer and theater.

Traveling outside with your children on vacation is not always justified, because small children take a little longer to adapt to a new climate and new environment. An important component when choosing a holiday destination for children is food: when going on holiday abroad, it is not always possible to control it. It is no secret that the well-being of children guarantees a successful and happy holiday for the whole family. Therefore, the Black Sea resorts are still perhaps the best option for spending holidays for parents with small children. This is also justified by the fact that at Russian resorts it is much easier to find a common language with doctors in the event of a sudden illness, and besides, you can always return home without being tied to charter flights.

In July, excursion trips to and, and, and the Volga region, and Kuban are especially popular.

    Cruises

Traveling on a cruise ship in July is perfect for those who dream of coolness and freshness in the midst of a hot and stuffy summer. Cruises on and as well as on Mediterranean Sea They are especially popular in July, so cabins should be booked in advance. Cruise ships have diverse routes - and you can choose the most suitable program, depending on its timing and content.

River cruises offer a slightly less expensive, but sometimes more exciting holiday. Sailing along the Danube or Rhine is a rather unusual way to see. Don't forget that river cruises are a great option to see the cities located along the Volga.

    Holidays and festivals

At the height of summer great amount colorful carnivals, festivals and processions are held throughout

Summer is in full swing, which means the most interesting time has come, and it’s time to go on a trip. In July, you can relax almost anywhere, well, maybe you should exclude a few countries where the combination of heat and high humidity will not bring you pleasure.

The main list of countries and tourist destinations in July is not much different from the June one, which can be found in the article “”.

I don’t want to repeat myself and will dwell in more detail only on some of the destinations that, according to experts from the travel industry and analysts from well-known travel websites, have aroused increased interest among Russians this summer.

As always, July is mainly a beach holiday. Voted for it (according to VTsIOM) - 38%, 25% of Russians want to improve their cultural level, learn new places and attractions, improve their health in sanatoriums - 21%, and just go around the expanses of their homeland and abroad with a backpack - 17%.

As for children's holidays: this summer, 12% of the surveyed parents plan to send their children on holiday to children's camps, to the dacha - 17%, to the Black Sea - 12%, on hikes - 2%, to other places - 9%, for milestone – 7%. But, unfortunately, a lot of children will remain at home – 37%.

Contrary to tradition, when we mainly considered holiday options abroad, today we will talk about holidays in July with children in Russian beach resorts and, above all, resorts on the Black Sea coast and Crimea, as well as in other cities of our country.

So, what to choose: resorts in Kuban, Crimea or holidays abroad?

Whatever the reasons, the number of Russians wishing to visit Crimea this summer has increased significantly. Attempts to compare Sochi and Crimea in terms of the number of people wishing to relax in them and presenting them as two competing tourist destinations are hardly advisable.

Many Russian resorts on the Black Sea coast and Sea of Azov with wonderful beaches, attractive for children's holidays. The following arguments are put forward in favor of Crimea: cleaner sea, beautiful nature, historical sights and, for now, lower prices.

The advantages of Sochi are a calmer political situation, developed tourist infrastructure, easier access to resorts, and many are attracted by the new Olympic venues.

If we compare, for example, with the most popular destination for summer holidays with children - with Turkey in terms of price-quality ratio, then this comparison is not yet in favor of the Russian resort.

The difficulty is that there are still very few package offers in Crimea. And by paying separately for accommodation, transfer and flights (even if air travel is cheap, which is not always possible), the cost of the tour turns out to be the same as to Turkey, and sometimes even more expensive. Unfortunately, most of the cost of the holiday is still consumed by travel.

But not everything is so gloomy. Experts assure that Crimea has good tourism potential: a unique healing climate, a large number of beaches (560) and their great length (more than 500 kilometers), most interesting story peninsula, no problems with paperwork for departure. And over time, this resort region will be able to compete with Turkey, Egypt and other resorts abroad.

Where to relax with children in Crimea?

This summer, a lot of attention is being paid to organizing children's recreation in Crimean camps. The website of the Government of the Russian Federation reports that during the summer in Crimea, more than 33 thousand children will be able to improve their health and relax at the expense of budget funds.

Holidays in the best new generation children's camps in Crimea, part of the Terra Unique network of development camps: "Mandarin" and "I&Camp" ( resort village Sandy, 60 km from Sevastopol and 65 kilometers from Simferopol airport) and “Kakadu” (Evpatoria) - attracts those who like to relax creatively, brightly and in comfort.

The conditions in these modern camps are approximately the same: 5 meals a day, rooms with amenities, comfortable good beaches, swimming pool, water slides. You can send your child on vacation for any number of days you need. The average price per day (food and accommodation) ranges from 1000 to 3200 rubles.

Approximate prices per shift (17 days) in some popular children's camps (excluding travel costs):

    • “Mandarin” and “I&Camp” (Peschanoe village) – 36-43 thousand rubles
    • “Cartoon” (Peschanoe village) – 28-36 thousand rubles
    • “Kakadu” (Zaozernoye village, Evpatoria) – 30-37 thousand rubles
    • “Crystal” (Alushta) – 25 thousand rubles
    • “Artek” (Gurzuf village) – 21-48 thousand rubles.

The most expensive trips are in July.

You can have a good rest by traveling with the whole family through the cities of Crimea or by staying by the sea at one of its resorts, some of which are among the top thirty beach places in Russia. According to the rating of the cost of summer holidays conducted by the website Travel.ru, this is Feodosia (famous for its wonderful sandy beaches), Evpatoria (resort for families with children of any age), Sevastopol, Yalta, Sudak and Gurzuf.

The "excursion" in Crimea is also extremely interesting for both adults and children: the palaces of Livadia and Alupka, Bakhchisarai and Massandra, Nikitsky Botanical Garden, Swallow's Nest, monuments of Sevastopol, canyons, bays and waterfalls.

And if you add to this the Yalta water park "Blue Bay" and the zoo "Fairy Tale", in Evpatoria - "Dinopark", "Tropic Park", the tram "Milk Sea" (village tram), "Clown House", "Dolphinarium", the most a large water park in Crimea - "Banana Republic Aquaparkos", in Feodosia - the Karadag Dolphinarium, in Sevastopol - the Zurbagan water park, a dolphinarium and the Sevastopol Aquarium, in Kerch - an ostrich farm - your children will be happy from such an abundance of interesting entertainment.

And one more feature of the current summer season, which makes holidays in Crimea profitable, is that tempting special offers have been created for tourists, discounts on air tickets, new interesting tourist routes are being developed, and all-inclusive offers have begun to appear more and more often.

Best prices for tours to Crimea

How much does a ticket to Crimea cost?

The bulk of tourists (65%) used to come by car or train. Now, as an alternative, holidaymakers are offered ferry and air services.

The most convenient and fastest plane is undoubtedly. From June 1 to October 31, 2014, flights from Russian cities (there are already 33 of them today) to Simferopol will be operated at a good discount and at a special fare. And straight from the airport, comfortable buses will take tourists anywhere: to Sevastopol, Yalta, Evpatoria or Feodosia.

True, it is no longer possible to buy a ticket for two, three, four thousand now, because cheap tickets were sold out at the end of May.

The emergence of a Russian low-cost airline has increased the chances of having an inexpensive vacation in Crimea. Naturally, the cheapest tickets (from 999 rubles one way) have long been sold out, and the fewer days remain until the end of the summer season (flights will operate until September 20), the more rapidly the number of tickets with good fares decreases.

Ferries and high-speed catamarans Sochi-1 and Sochi-2, which deliver tourists along the route Anapa - Kerch" and "port Caucasus - Kerch". The cost of travel on a catamaran is, of course, more expensive than on a ferry (instead of 162 rubles - 1000 rubles), but it is faster and there are fewer queues (however, you cannot cross on a catamaran with a car).

And from June 1, high-speed catamarans entered the route Anapa - Feodosia - Yalta. You can get from Anapa to Yalta in 6.5 hours and in 3 hours from Anapa to Feodosia. Ticket prices: Anapa – Yalta – 2.7 thousand rubles, Anapa – Feodosia – 1.5 thousand rubles, Feodosia – Yalta – 1.2 thousand rubles. Children under 6 years old can travel for free, and children from 6 to 12 years old can travel for half the price of an adult ticket.

The operating schedule of ferries and catamarans can be found on the website of the Unified Transport Directorate.

    Resorts of the Krasnodar region

Among the resorts in the Krasnodar Territory, Anapa and Gelendzhik are traditionally in greatest demand for families with children.

This year, new facilities and new opportunities that have appeared in Sochi after the Olympics are very attractive to vacationers.

The number has increased hotel complexes and, accordingly, the number of rooms of varying degrees of comfort and price: from inexpensive 3* hotels to luxury “fives”. For a family holiday you can rent an apartment.

Accordingly, the price range is large. You can stay for 300-500 rubles a day in a mini-hotel, or you can, for example, for 8 thousand rubles a day in a 5* hotel.

In addition, the popular all-inclusive holiday format is now increasingly found in Sochi hotels.

    • Kabardinka, Lazarevskoye, Vityazevo - popular resorts in the Krasnodar Territory
    • Adler (Black Sea coast of the Caucasus)

Anapa has all the conditions for an ideal children's holiday (within the city there are a large number of children's health facilities, plenty of entertainment, absence of sweltering heat, comfortable water temperature and affordable prices).

Among the children's camps, “Orlyonok” (Tuapse district of the Krasnodar Territory) attracts the attention of parents. Accommodation there, according to experts, for a shift (21 days) will cost from 45 to 65 thousand rubles, plus the cost of a ticket to Tuapse from Moscow (9500-9900 rubles).

I wrote more about the resorts of the Krasnodar region in one of the previous articles.

    And lastly

Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the authorities of the Krasnodar region do not recommend tourists visiting the foothills and mountainous areas of Kuban until the end of June and early July.

July is considered the best month for traveling around Russia. In many regions the weather is sunny, without rain.

The beaches of the Black Sea coast are packed to capacity in July. The average air temperature in Anapa, Gelendzhik, Sochi reaches +27...+28 °C, the water warms up to +22 °C. By the way, many parents do not risk going on vacation with their children abroad: children may not tolerate the trip well. In addition, if a child gets injured or gets sick, a doctor who speaks Russian is easier to understand. And it’s easier to return home from our resorts than from another country.

For fishermen, Karelia is the best destination. For lovers sightseeing tours- travel to Moscow, St. Petersburg, both Novgorods, Pskov, Volga region. Extremals and fans active rest go to Baikal, Kamchatka and Altai, where you can go down wild rivers, travel on foot or on horseback.

Summer is a traditional time for holding all kinds of holidays and music festivals. In Europe, rock festivals are held almost every week, where you can see the world's best performers in one or two days. Austria is especially striking - classical music concerts are constantly held here, bands perform right on the streets, and live music is heard in the cities almost 24 hours a day.

Also in Europe there are colorful processions and carnivals associated with national holidays and traditions. If you go on a trip along the Danube or Rhine, you can see directly from the deck of the ship how city residents celebrate their holidays.

Where to go on vacation in July?

Where to go to the sea in July

For lovers of beach holidays and a bronze tan, tours to Bulgaria, tours to Turkey, tours to Montenegro or tours to Croatia are ideal. When traveling with children, it is better to choose the first half of the month, when the heat has not yet reached its full strength. The same thing - tours to Greece and tours to Cyprus. By the middle of the month, daytime temperatures everywhere will reach +30°C and above. This is good for tanning, but not so much for small children. An exception may be Greece, where high air humidity does not allow you to feel the heat to the fullest.

Tours to Spain and tours to Italy are also an excellent option for a beach holiday in July, since here too it will be about +30°C. Tours to France will not be an exception. But for this purpose, we recommend visiting these countries closer to the beginning of August. But the first days and mid-July are more suitable for sightseeing and excursions.

Purely Asian destinations in July continue to be destinations for everyone. For example, when choosing tours to Thailand, be prepared for the height of the rainy season and stuffiness, although this does not cancel out a full-fledged beach holiday. Holidays in July: where to go abroad

A little more about the excursion destinations of July. Pay attention to tours to the Czech Republic. Beautiful Czech cities, and, above all, majestic Prague, will be greeted with excellent weather (on average +25-28°C), an abundance of interesting sights and entertainment. An entire vacation can be spent exploring Prague alone, its streets and bridges. You can go to Austria or Germany, but the best options for an educational holiday are tours to Sweden, tours to Finland, Norway or Denmark, because there is something to see there, and the absence of extreme heat will make excursions much more pleasant.
